Middle School Basketball

Featured Replies

Crosby Middle School out of Louisville (Eastern's Feeder) won the Middle School 8th Grade State Championship over Rose Hill today. Chris Harrison's son is their point guard, quite an impressive young man and basketball player. Congratz to Crosby, they have a fine young team!

AverageJoe'sGym it was nice meeting you, good luck to your boys at Meece!

Twenhofel only lost once in the division, Summit lost twice.. I don't see how hard it is to understand..

If sv did not get the 1 seed what a joke this league is. Let me put this in simple terms where everybody can understand this. 13 teams equals one league that is spilit in two divsions. You play some teams twice and some once but you count ALL GAMES PLAYED. This is not high school where you play in diff districts Again 13 teams equals one league; one champion. Good luck to everybody in the tourney.

So Harrison's kid is in the Louisville Eastern system. Thought that his mom was with the FBI and he was playing in Illinois. How long have they been in Louisville? Thanks

Who would that be?

Anyone know who Mason's best 8th grader is?

:laugh:If and I will say If SV is the best team in NKY then they will make the finals and win it all. If not then they have the McClendon excuse to fall back on. I think Sharp is the best team in NKY just my opinion. I will let their record stand for itself. I know they had the best record in the conference this year and only have lost once at SV by 6. This is their only loss in 2 years.

And again two of their better players did not even play half the game. If you don't like the conference the go back to Boone County league. Oh wait they don't want you in it.

I do agree with this bp23 they should count all conference games not just division games.

Highlands didnt either. Luke Turner did an outstanding job on him and his only points were in transition. The 1-3-1 they threw at him late in the game made him look bad also. Forced several lazy pass turnovers. I am sure he will become a fine player but definitely not worthy of double teams from good teams, atleast not yet.

Game tapes will show how fast Highlands came out of that man and went to a1-3-1 defense because of McClendon. And if not worthy of double teams yet why cry about the changing of schools and for him not to play. If he was the last kid off the bench no one would have said a word about it.

Congrat's to Crosby on the State Championship.

Chris is a great kid and baller. I enjoy watching him play and love his confidence.

Harrison can flat out play. He does play with a lot of confidence, but I thought his poise and basketball IQ was something that you don't see too often for his age.

Little Chris does have a great basketball IQ and poise.

May come from some genetics and being a student of the game.

How did #21 for Rose Hill look?

Tyler Black of Mason Co is who i was mentioning..he is out with a hairline fracture in his foot.

Thanks waterboy--it was fun. Good luck to y'all!

I would love to see the game film of that Sharp/Summit View match-up. It must have been doctored or something because Sharp did not double team any ONE player and most calls were not correct.

The referees were out of position all night and the one could BARELY make it up and down the court let alone blow his whistle. The refs were bad for both teams, very inconsistent and NEVER in position to make a call! However, the refs did not lose the game for Sharp, they did that themselves.

HOOPDR: I LOVE the enthusiasm!! Another conference tournament title sounds good to me!!!!:thumb::banana:
