Twenhofel is the #1 seed. That is why if the seeds holds, #2 Summit View would play #3 CC Purple.

Considering the weather and the KY Governor’s Cup, the 2008 NKMSBL Tournament has been cancelled for the remainder of the week. First round action will begin on Monday 2/18/08. The Girls League Championship Final will be Thursday at CCMS and the Boys Friday at CCMS. Please see the attachments for dates, locations, and times. Thank you everyone for your patience. All NKYMSBL games are cancelled for this week. Tournament will begin on Monday 2/18 with the girls championships on Thursday 2/21 and the boys championships on Friday 2/22.

I just got an email with the brackets for the 7th grade NKYMSBL East tourney and it shows GAme 1 being Seed 3(TRMS) vs. Seed 6 CCGold. My bracket has Seed 1 playing the winner of this game in their first rnd game. Tubby can you confirm this? Doesnt look right.

As far as the seedings I see it the same way you do qryche11 and this is what I was told as well. The overall #1 seed will play the winner of the #3 vs. #6 game. Seems to me the #1 seed should play the winner of the #4 vs. #5 game.

 

You possibly could have your #1 seed playing a #3 and your #2 playing a #4 seed. I would think the overall #1 seed would get the easier of the two second round games.

The seedings do not make much sense to me.

Summit View is the only team to beat every team in the league but are a 2 seed since they lost 2 conference games. It basically says the non-conference games mean nothing.

But you still have to win to advance....

Kentucky doesn't get credit for beating anyone outside of the SEC when it comes to seeding the SEC tourney! dUKe OR UNC doesn't get credit for wins outside the ACC. So it all makes sense.

They were ALL conference games. I am talking about division games. So it basically means the other division games don't count for anything and that does not seem right, since they all play each other in the tournament. And only one comes out the champ.

And it's the way it should be.. Non conference games mean absolutely nothing HS football or basketball, i'm not sure about baseball but I don't see why it'd be any different.
