Can't go to the hole ,you don't basketball because if a player can only shoot then you don't leave him.The reason he gets open shots is because they play off of him so he doesn't beat them to the basket. Just because you are friends with parents shouldn't stop you from telling the truth and you are not by saying Hatton is better.
It's looks to me to be Mcclendon to be the fifth starter next year. Seen him in jv games and he's getting better and better every game. Some of the freshmen have a ways to go to catch up with him.
It wasn't Mcclendon, it was Pike from Dixie who played 7th grade two years in a row. That was the problem with Boone and Kenton county schools,Mcclendon had nothing to do with it.
I think you guys are way off base about this kid. From what I seen from this kid he was a big team player at Summit View and in AAU ball. Christian will be 14 at the start of his 9th grade year,so he is not much older then most of the kids he plays against.
Christian played D1 Nationals for the past5 years with the NKY Tarheels and back with his coach James Pouncy this year. He gets the most out of his players. It will be fun to watch Monroe and McClendon for the next 5 years grow as players and young men.
I disagree I think he is ready for JV at Holmes. I've seen him in practice with them and he holds his own. In talking to coach Henley he also said the kid is ready.
I like the 8th grader from Holmes who I seen playing jv over the summer. McClendon is one of the most talented kids in the area if not the most talented. I would think he would have to be to play jv for Holmes with players the have down there.
