Highlands 24 Trotwood Madison 20

Featured Replies

Trotwoods Coach, Maurice Douglas played at UK with Jeff Kramer and John Shannon, so maybe both of these teams will send some players to UK?

How did Highlands defense that big Tight End of TM's??

I think they only threw to him once or twice?????That's what I mean about coaching....You have a stud like that and he maybe gets two looks all night...

From now on can we call Highlands; USA, Highlands instead of Fort Thomas, Highlands?
Works for me!

Wow, great win for Highlands!

This was a TD too, this guy was a stud of studs:

He was indeed a stud, but the Highlands defense stuffed him 3 times inside the 3 yard line in an awesome goal line stand!!!

I agree. On a couple of those plays the TM offensive line didn't do a very good job.

Can anyone explain why the Trotwood Coaching staff decided to stop throwing the screen and swing passes? I would have ridden that horse all night.

Not surprised in the least, HHS finally played an Ohio school that was its size and proved once and for all that they can compete with Ohio schools their size. No upset here.

What an awesome game!

Pics to follow shortly.

You like that one my friend? I'm still on Cloud Nine. Talk about a monkey off the back. Ky's finest is going down right now.

Shaw is going to Penn State...

This is a closer match than an Elder or a St. X, but it is still a signifcantly bigger school than Highlands. Highlands would be an Ohio DIII school, like a Columbus DeSales (who they played, and unfortanutely lost to last year).

The guys that have seen Trotwood play may agree that Highlands won't see any team the rest of the year as athletic as Trotwood. That doesn't mean that they won't play better TEAMS. Trotwood traditionally has great talent (this year much more than most), but doesn't seem to translate that into playoff wins. Regardless, I would guess after this weekend the Division 5 picture looks like a two man race of Bowling Green and Highlands; with Highlands being a big time favorite.

:dancingpa

I don't think I've heard that chant around Birdland since the early 70's!

Man, do I feel old! :irked:

That was a great cheer, many a time my ears heard and my mouth did speak/shout that old classic
