Many players stepped up big for Highlands. Brandon Roller & Austin Collinsworth made some big plays on D for Sophs in their first big game.

Wow... Great game, Hard hitting and eventful throughout. I am glad I was there... Guru and I probably snapped about 1k in pics.

The size and athleticism of Trotwood was very impressive. The had many many studs.

First of all, congrats to HHS. But, please escuse my ignorance, where is Trotwood from? How big of school are they etc., etc.

Only thing I know offhand is like 51 yards passing (1 play) 250+ rushing...

HHS had several hundred yards rushing. Conner, Cecil, Hurtt & Crawford all had big runs.

 

Trotwood had a several hundred yards passing and about a hundred or so yards rushing. I am sure others will correct my mistakes later......

Congrats to the Birds on a fantastic win and most enjoyable game to witness live. The Defense really stepped up in the 2nd half with several stops and a huge goal line stand.

 

Bathiany was huge as Roadrunner mentioned. Not giving Trotwood the chance to return kicks was just huge.

 

Zach Hurtt had an awesome game, seemed like he was on the field the whole game. Several nice runs and had some nice pressure on the QB.

Cecil had some great runs to secure the win down the stretch.

How about Austin Collinsworth stepping up as a sophomore and leveling the Trotwood receiver in the 1st qtr. He had a few nice reads and great tackles throughout the game. Simons was huge on Defense as well. This is their strength and holding Trotwood to 6 second half points was unbelievable.

What division?

I think Cecil played the whole first half and then the last series and I don't think he completed a pass but he didn't attempt many. Guidugli threw a huge TD pass in the 4th to put Highlands ahead and Guidugli played most of the second half at QB.

 

You have to hand it to Coach Mueller, on top of winning he is getting his 2008 QB big time quality playing time. It is one of the reasons HHS is so good every year, they NEVER start over.
