What division?

They are D2 and ranked at or near the top of their class.

Trotwood Madison is a Div 2 Class (2nd largest in Ohio). Many had them picked as the pre-season #1 team in Div 2 in Ohio.

I think Cecil played the whole first half and then the last series and I don't think he completed a pass but he didn't attempt many. Guidugli threw a huge TD pass in the 4th to put Highlands ahead and Guidugli played most of the second half at QB.

You have to hand it to Coach Mueller, on top of winning he is getting his 2008 QB big time quality playing time. It is one of the reasons HHS is so good every year, they NEVER start over.

So did Cecil play any other positions or did he sit most of the 2nd half?

Does that put them top 10 in D1? Top 5?

Good job Birds!

Pics?? heheh

I know that Highlands is a GREAT program, but Trotwood has to have some of the worst coaches in the entire country. Don't they have like 10+ D1 signees? Maybe someone who was at the game can explain this....

Thanks for the perspective. I have a tough time gauging DII and DIII Ohio teams. Nevertheless, good win.

He played D a bunch.

Outside linebacker.....they needed his speed on D....

Trotwood has a ton of talent.......just no coaching.

I am so proud of our Birds -- we finally beat a formidable Ohio opponent! :ylsuper:

This is a victory for HHS -- for NKY -- for all of Kentucky.

Thanks RTS for keeping me posted! :thumb:

It seems to me that it is a classic case of a "TEAM" beating a bunch of "INDIVIDUALS".

Congratulations to the Bluebirds.

Kentucky leads Ohio 1-0. Trinity is next, but they have their hands full.

Trotwood is a Division II School with a ton of talent, possibly the most D-1 Recruits on one team in Ohio with the possible exception of Cincy St. X and Youngstown Cardinal Mooney. If Highlands can handle the athletes they saw tonight, the rest of the Commonwealth should really take note.

Since HHS scored on the first play after Trotwood took their only lead I would assume HHS only trailed for less than 20 seconds during this game...pretty impressive.
