Anyways, somewhat disappointed with the defensive effort early. Screens and short passes seemed to give them problems. Im sure that will be addressed. The offense is exactly what I thought it would be, not missing a beat, still the most powerful in the country (IMO). On to MTSU. Brohm could throw TD passes left handed against M.S. assuming he is a righty I think. I guess your right in a way, when your in Heisman race you have to glorify the stats. But I rather see him place a full season and let the stats play out.

August 31, 200719 yr Glad to see Louisville transition coaches in stride. Brohm was just disgusting. Douglas is ridiculous too. I was disappointed to see Murray score early but UofL did lose a few guys on defense and they will have those kinks worked out.
August 31, 200719 yr I'm going to say the same thing everyone else has about offense. Looking sharp and VERY fun to watch. It may seem cruel, but I honestly wanted to see Cantwell throw the TD that made it 80-10. Actually, the entire section 02ram and I were sitting in wanted him to as well. But I can understand Krag wanting to burn the clock and work on the run. How about Mr. Stripling not seeing any action until that 2nd half??? Interesting, but Go-Go-Sergio did a fine job. Defensively, UofL looked scary bad in the first half. Athletically, our players couldn't move fast enough and make any decent tackles. Mistakes were huge. Second-half defense was a different animal. If they can improve that much in one half, I can't wait to see how they improve next week.

As I was channel-surfing last night, I thought I heard someone say that the Cards had scored their 70 points (this was prior to the 4th quarter) in something like 13 or 14 minutes of possession time. I assume that meant that their 10 scores averaged around 2 minutes apiece. Was this accurate, or did I just not hear it right?
August 31, 200719 yr I didn't get to see the game, so I can't comment on it. HOWEVER, I DO want to say thank you to Murray for playing us! You stepped up when the BIG boys PAID to get out of playing us! Can't knock U of L for playing such an easy game I'd take U of L to task, but what were they to do? U of L was all set to open on the road at a Southeastern Conference opponent, but that team decided it couldn't get ready to play the Cardinals on opening weekend. It's easier to get Lee Corso to take a vow of silence than get somebody to play a game in Papa John's Cardinal Stadium these days. You'd have better luck getting Lou Holtz to say something cogent. A roll call of teams that have paid good money to get out of agreements to come to U of L: Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, Boston College, Texas-El Paso and Duke.

Yes, the next day some UK fans will accuse the new coach of running it up and that is just the way it is.
