So who are the top freshman teams so far, and what are their records?

2 years ago the Birds were forced to play on a very sub par practice field behind the high school.

 

They had to do that because they were unable to find an athletic trainer to cover both the varsity soccer game at the high school and the freshman football game so the freshman football game was moved to the high school.

So who are the top freshman teams so far, and what are their records?

 

I believe Simon Kenton is undefeated and Campbell Co and Ryle have only one loss each? Not sure about the smaller schools.

As far as I know Holmes just didn't show up.

 

Holmes did not show up because the game was changed to Wednesday and they were not told of the change. It was a complete miscommunication. Holmes has a freshman team with 25 kids on it.

The game had been scheduled all season on Wednesday. Holmes was at fault thinking it was a thursday game without checking.

The two best teams are Simon Kenton and Campbell county. Simon Kenton is undefeated and Campbell has only lost one, I believe, and that was to SK.

Then the statement all the games are played at the varsity field is incorrect. There are times when the games will be played at the high school on the practice field. BTW HHS offered to host that game on their varsity field.

Newport took it to the Breds. They played harder and won. Congrats Newport. They had 2 ints in the end zone, one that was returned for a TD. The TD was negated by penalty, but later on in the 4th NewCath fumbled a handoff as the QB was tripped up trying to make the handoff and the RB couldn't quite hold on. The fumble was returned for a TD with 2 minutes to go.

Well excuse me but in the past 3 years CC has played ALL games at the middle school. Someone asked where the game was going to be played and I said all games were being played at the middle school. Sorry you had to read into it a little bit more than needed to be.
