September 19, 200718 yr Yankees play the three worst record teams the rest of the way out and should the division end up in a tie -I believe that the Yankees win due to the overall season series lead, not sure on that one.
September 19, 200718 yr Red Sawx :sssh: :sssh:   It's getting pretty tense for us Sox fans...luckily for me, I don't take baseball too seriously, so I won't lose any sleep over it.
September 19, 200718 yr The Red Sox are the best team ever until about the 7th inning. Then they bring the biggest mistake in baseball in as a setup man. The manager blew it last night by leaving that idiot in the game after he walked in the tying run and the bases were still loaded.
September 19, 200718 yr Yankees Win again tonight!! Tigers and Red Sox lose (the sox Gagne "Gags" again)................Yankees are now 2.5 GB in the East:sssh: and 4.5 game up in the WC!! :thumb: :thumb:
September 20, 200718 yr Author After yet another Boston loss and Yankee win, the Red Sox are now only up 1.5 games.....
September 20, 200718 yr I hate the Yankees with a passion, but I hope they do win the division now. I hate a team that plays like they're lifeless and that's exactly what the Red Sox are doing. They were swept by the Blue Jays. Poor effort.
September 20, 200718 yr Boston is playing terrible baseball. No way should Eric Gagne see the mound the rest of the year. He's been the worst thing to happen to this team all year. With the next 3 against the DRays and the likes of Beckett, Schilling, and DiceK going, I think the Sox are able to bounce back.
September 20, 200718 yr 1.5 back with 1 back in the loss column. Tigers also lose again = 5.5 games up in the WC. Pride, Passion and Pinstripes!!:flame:
September 20, 200718 yr Author The best news for Boston is that they are probably going to make the playoffs no matter what. New York is 5.5 up in the wild card, which means Boston is up 7 over Detroit with 9 games left to play. As epic as the collapse to let the Yankees win the division would be, that would be even more catostrophic. The worst news is that they were 5.5 games up on the Yanks 4 days ago and now it's down to 1.5. That's some bad math folks. More bad math is that they are 3-9 against the Yanks in their last 12 matchups with them, a big reason that the Yankees are in this at all. After opening the season 5-1 against them, they went on to lose the season series 8-10. They've lost 7 out of their last 11 games. The Yanks have won 13 of 15.
September 20, 200718 yr 1.5 back with 1 back in the loss column. Tigers also lose again = 5.5 games up in the WC. Pride, Passion and Pinstripes!!:flame: Pride, Passion, and Payroll!!!
September 20, 200718 yr Pride, Passion, and Payroll!!!   I certainly don't have a problem with it. Although not as much but I believe that the Cry Sox have spent a fair amount of cash as well, and...............let us not forget that they picked up Mr. "Gag"ne. Besides, the Sox still lead the division. :thumb:
September 20, 200718 yr The "chowda" must be getting a little lumpy, something's caught in the Sawx throat...
September 20, 200718 yr The "chowda" must be getting a little lumpy, something's caught in the Sawx throat...  I knew you would show up :ylsuper: . I will leave it in very capable hands now. :thumb:
