If they meet in the playoffs, I don't even want to watch it because I have no faith in Boston when they play the Yankees in pressure situations...like last year when they had 5 games to make a move in the division and dropped them all. Other than coming from 3-0 down, have they ever had success against NY...

Exactly, which is why I mentioned it and asked if there are any other examples. Once in a century seems more like an aberration than anything else. Especially, when you consider what they did. That makes it all the more freak of nature-ish.

The Yankees missed a very good opportunity last night to gain ground on the BoSox and the Mariners. Sox and M's lost and the Yankees lose to T.B.. Everything reamins the same for now - 5 GB in the div. , 1 game up in the WC. (could have been 4 and 2 :irked: )

Seattle actually tied them in the loss column tonight which is what is most important this time of year. Also, Clemens and Mussina were hit hard again and the Rocket is going to have an MRI on his elbow tomorrow.......The magic number is now 18.

This has nothing to do with this thread but Torii Hunter will be a Yankee next season.

I am still picking the Yankees to take the WC. Winning the division was/is a long shot at best but I do think that the Yanks will be in the post season.
