No, problem. Like I said the schedule I saw had been put together by a parent and didn't have times listed for any of the games or anything--just a tentative one. However, if it looks like they may have different dates down now's a good time to get it fixed.
...The schedule I have is Southern Middle Football Schedule issued by Coach Engle and the School. I would say that it is pretty much right-on. I will pass on the info you gave me Monday. We never know...:thumb:

Like I said the one I saw was typed up by a parent before everything was finalized. We didn't get to play last year due to the teams scheduling before the varsity had their first game (which isn't allowed) then the second date was on a Thursday and it poured that day so they couldn't play on the varsity field. Hopefully they'll get to play this year to keep each team from having to travel so much to get a game.

Has anyone heard of any special guests, ceremony, or festivities that will be involved with the Ray Correll Bowl on Aug. 24th. A suggestion would to have a delegation of the Somernite Cruise to display some of their beautiful cars...:thumb:

Rockcastle has not had a good track record versus SW.

You need to ask before you type such a statement, that is incorrect. I'll post the total record all time but Rock is leading pretty big.

3wishes calm down it was already taken care of if you would have read on down through the thread.

LOL...I was just saying. If I were not calm I would've used ALL CAPS. I did read the entire thread and saw the information was incomplete, so I will update it.

How is the grass looking at Clark Field? Somerset posters have been quite. Pulaski County posters are almost non-existing, and Rockcastle County faithful have never been so quite. Doesn't everyone know that we got the big Ray Correll Bowl coming up? The 4 top teams in this area need some support, but everybody is hush-hush. It is time to start hyping things up. Help me out there a little. I'll start with saying that the SWHS Warriors will be ready to play. The heat index has not slowed our program down at all. We have worked around it. We have several Kids that have been injured but should be ready to go Aug. 24th at the Great Ray Correll Bowl @ Somerst...:thumb:

Seems like everyone is overlooking the Maroons. Hines will be ready and so will Winston Hines against Cole. My prediction is that PC will "upset" the Jumpers who will come in overconfident...... PC 28-SHS 20.

Look for QB Muse to have a big night against a very suspect Jumper Defense.

I'm sure that Pulaski will be ready as will Somerset. This is a big game, neither team will be overlooking the other. Word is filtering around the Somerset camp that Winston is going to try to shut down Cole by himself...well good luck. I too look for Muse to have a fine night, but not because Somerset has a "suspect defense" but because he is a fine player. Somerset's defense looked pretty good the other night against a much larger North Laurel team. I'll stick with my earlier prediction...Somerset 42 PC 13

Give me a break on that score won't you? While Somerset is a good team, are they that much better? PC has really good size up front and has alot of speed in the skill positions. I also think the edge at QB goes to PC.

I also believe that the edge mentally goes to PC because the pressure is not on them to win. At the scrimmage in N. Laurel, Somerset's O-line couldn't pick up the blitz well and you know that they will see a ton of it at the Ray Correll.

Welcome to BGP MM,

I have said it before, I think Muse will be the BEST QB in PC history. Yes even better than the mighty Cole Train. I do not think they will win this game however. Good to hear you have some size, all Hines keeps saying is how small this team is. I look forward to a good hard hitting game, but if the above poster is right and PC is going to stop John Cole 1 on 1 I would think they may be in trouble. John has great speed, runs precise routes and has the best hands seen in this part of the state since Allen Sexton back in the early 80's.

Its going to be a real barnburner(s) on Aug. 24th. It is always tough when our local Kids butt heads. I do think that Somerset should not take PC for granted as a walk in the park. Their final two games of last season were against SWHS and they were a hard-nosed team. Winston Hines and Ronnie Claiborne, along with other PC players have got my respect same as the awesome John Cole. It will be a classic battle. The first game features another underdog (according to some posters) SWHS will open up a few eyes even though they will be playing powerhouse Rockcastle County. The residents of the area will be in for a treat. The place will be a rocking...:thumb:

Mentally I think that PC is pressured to win - Somerset has their number.

As most have stated what we think and what happens will all have to be done on field, that being said what i have to say is this Southwestern will always field good athletes and Coach Dale is an offensive minded coach and his Qb's are usually well rounded so that makes them a threat, and we all know about the ROCK's they have a ground game and it should be best game of the evening,The Jumpers will be ok this year and they have to have one most exciting players in state as reciver and Coach Cobb will let people know this hopefully the jumpers have some help and that should seal the game against Pulaski Co. should be a great evening of Football, maybe best Bowl game around.....
