May 20, 200719 yr So I was having this discussion about bacon with some friends of mine and I wanted to see what everyone thought on here. Now don't get me wrong, I like bacon, and I think that it is a good compliment to food (like bacon on a cheeseburger) , but I don't like it as a featured meat in any meal because of how little meat you get in comparison to other meats. Lets use breakfast meats for comparison. If I wanted to get a breakfast sandwich at any restaurant, I would never get a bacon and egg sandwich over a sausage and egg sandwich because I'm getting at least twice as much meat with the sausage than I ever would with the bacon. The only reason that I could see anyone prefering bacon to another meat is that the taste is so good that the amount of meat is not something to worry about. Well IMHO filet mignon is the only meat that flavor is more important than the amount of meat given. Bacon is not filet mignon. So basically I will only eat bacon as a compliment to a meal and every once in a while as to mix it up from the better meat. Thoughts?

May 20, 200719 yr See, bacon is a good thing because you don't need a lot of it to get the flavor -- a couple strips will do. I don't think much beats a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit from McDonalds.

May 20, 200719 yr I love bacon, basically eat it every day for breakfast, an have for the past few years (turkey bacon) but I do indeed love sausage and I would also never choose a bacon and egg sandwich over a sausage and egg sandwich.

May 20, 200719 yr Bacon is awesome. A few people have mentioned the Bacon Egg and Cheese Biscuit from McDonalds, that thing is delicious. I wish McDonalds served breakfast all day, I wouldnt eat anywhere else. Bacon is like chips and salsa to me. I could eat chips and salsa all day and not get full or tired of it. I wish restaurants would bring a big bowl of bacon to each table like they do with rolls or chips and salsa, that would be great.
May 20, 200719 yr I love Bacon!! Not only my favorite breakfast meat but I can even snack on it. Bacon, Eggs, hash browns and a biscut. - my favorite breakfast.
