May 21, 200719 yr It is the feature meat in a BLT and I love BLTs. Same here....if you make them yourself, you can put in as much bacon as you want.
May 21, 200719 yr Pork today is not bad for you. Years ago, you had to worry about trichanosis (sp?), etc. But today, it's safer, leaner and actually healthier for you than some beef. I love it! I'm not a huge sausage fan, and disagree that Bacon is overrated (and agree that Bacon was great in Mystic River ). The key to any thing, is moderation. If you eat a pound of bacon, it's not healthy. But, if you eat a couple of slices for Sunday morning breakfast, you're not likely to develop a disproportionate cholesterol level from that alone. Again, the key to anything is moderation, and meat of any kind should only be a part of the meal.
