Top QB's this year in '07

Featured Replies

Richie Cox from Mason County is going to have an awesome year. He is being recruited by several D-I schools (Louisville, Kentucky, Cincinnati, Indiana, Army, Duke, UConn, MAC and IVY league schools and is turning some college coaches heads. He is and absolute freak in the weightroom. Cox is 6'4" 210 lbs. and ran a 4.56 - 40 on the track the other day which was timed by coaches. He benches 355, squats 505, and ran the pro shuttle at the Nike combine in 4.31. The crazy thing is he is only 16 years old. Cox is going to have a breakout year. Remember Mason County stays a AAA school this year. :ylsuper:

The Steelman kid from Bowling Green is pretty good. Also down the road in Franklin a kid by the name of Courtney Dalcourt is pretty awesome in his own ways.

Awesome numbers. You would think with #'s, size and schools like that he would be listed in rivals recruiting data base.

It is hard for a player who only had 569 yards passing and 7 TDs with 6 interceptions in 11 games last year to get a lot of attention. If those #s are true, then he is a stud and will soon be getting a lot of attention.

Jesse Florence for Gallatin Co. will return this year, building on a decent season last year in the first year of varsity football for the Wildcats.

Does Beechwood have a QB returning ?

Cody Elliott is the senior-to-be returner. He's pretty talented on the field, and not too shabby on the baseball mound, either.

Highlands' D-backs!!.........................easy! just a joke!:jump:

Now THATS funny!

From what I've read on here I believe his main target is Detmer, I think he's #15. If you remember the 2nd day of the Dixie game, he's the one that caught the game winning TD in OT. He'll be a three year starter for the Colonels, and they like mix it up with the run and pass.

C'mon Neefan, why must you dig up painful dirt?:madman:

Although selected to Tremendous 26 team this year as a safety, R.D. Reynolds of North Bullitt will be a very good dual threat QB this year as well. Moved to QB full-time in 7th game last year and responded with 185 yds per game over the last 4. Had over 1,200 total yds last year accounting for 20 TD's. Excellent running QB.

Colby Fugate from Breathitt county should have a stand out year. He is in his last year at the helm of Mike Holcombs offense. This year should be his best. He has a stable of great wide outs and his running backs are pretty good also. His line is the only really questionable part. He lost 3 of the 5 that started last year, but im sure coach holcomb can get the younger guys to step it up. Look at for this kid.

Detmer is actually #80 (I think). 15 is Aubrey Carter. Bricking will have plenty of receivers to throw to, including the backs coming out of the backfield. He just needs to learn to read the defense quicker, and not stare down his receiver. He has a tendency to lock on to one receiver, and DBs were picking that up last year. He also needs to work on his accuracy. IMO, he took a step backwards last year. Hopefully he takes two steps forward this year as the potential is there to be a very solid high school quarterback.

If I were coaching this beast, I believe I would have him playing another position. Those numbers in the weightroom do not sound like a quarterback to me.

Is he flexible enough to throw the ball?

Clint Cashen of Corbin and the kid from Lone Oak should be the top two.
