Ok, Donovan comes to UK, Florida is without a Coach. So,does Florida goes and gets Tubby? Just asking.

I can't see them doing this while he is still coaching the Gators.

UK has been working the back-channels for a period of time here recently, with Donovan and also Thad Matta.

Wiring money to Donovan at this stage seems very premature.

 

Now what I have heard is that UK has money pouring in which could amount to a 4 million dollar a year deal for Billy Donovan.

 

If Donovan passes and remains at Florida, I am confident that Barnhart already has Plan B lined-up.

 

One other thing about Pitino.

I think UK could be working Pitino to work Donovan.

They'll go after Stallings first. He's proven he can beat Donovan.

While I would like to agree with you, in college coaching - anything goes.

However, there is that thought out there that RP doesnt want Billy D in Lexington.

 

That also makes sense...You've got Teacher and Student at rival schools...Student beats Teacher a couple of times, not only do you get, "Why is he losing to UK?", you'll get "Why is he losing to his Student?"

To back up the post that have been made, I have a friend who works as a principal in the Fayette school system he was told Wen evening that a group of boosters had offered Tubby a large sum of money to walk away quietly. The same group of men were willing to offer Billy D whatever he wanted to come to LEX. If this fell through John C was choice No. 2. Again this is rumors but as things unfold it seems there may be some substance to the story.

Some of these rumors are hilarious.

While all of this is hard to take in, it is something that would rejuvenate all of Big Blue Nation.

Do you think that Foley would let Donovan continue to coach if he knew he had already jumped ship. I just can't see that happening.

 

Yes, It's not mid season, a shot at another title helps him with getting a great replacement coach and still more solid recruits.
