I'm sorry, but I just can't buy this story at all. Tubby just resigned on Thursday morning. Donovan has been too busy to sit down, and talk contract with anyone, and I just can't see any money being wired without any sort of contract being signed. Besides Barnhart would have to have any sort of agreement approved by President Todd, and the Board of Trustees. I just don't see all of that happening that fast.

 

I guess we'll wait to see what happens after Florida's season.

I would imagine that everyone that matters probably already knows, just haven't went public (ie both AD's, etc.).

Ok, I think its ok to go ahead and post this. A good friend of mine works at a bank in Lexington. He says that a very large sum of money was sent to one Billy Donovan this morning. I don't want to go into to much detail because I don't want to get anyone into any type of trouble. It's of course unofficial, but if I had the opportunity to lay money on it, I would bet that Billy D is heading for a press conference when the Gators lose (or win it all).

If this is really the reasoning behind your certainty then this thread should be renamed or shut down since it is merely a rumor.

Probably not, but that doesn't stop UK from talking to his agent. Remember this has been brewing for weeks. John Clay said this morning that it was 3 weeks ago that Minnesota faxed a formal contract offer to Tubby. Mitch has had some time to prepare...

UK needs to hope Florida gets beat tomorrow. The longer this drags out, the less of a chance Billy D is in Lexington next year.
