March 20, 200719 yr 72% Dixie..... I think it is wrong cuz I am 100% Dixie.... especially since my trip to New England!! LOL
March 20, 200719 yr 64% (Dixie). A definitive Southern score! What, didn't they have a metro-Dixie category?
March 20, 200719 yr I'm 63% Dixie - I thought I would have scored higher since I had lived in the deep south for 11 year's.
March 21, 200719 yr Some of these I don't agree with. I checked that I call the carbonated drink "pop" and the answer said that that was a northern term. Well, I'm a Southerner from Eastern Kentucky and almost everyone I know calls it a "pop". I didn't hear the term "soda" until some of my relatives from Cleveland were visiting when I was a teenager.
March 21, 200719 yr 65% Dixie So I have had this conversation over and over again with friends throughout the Bluegrass state. Why do people in Kentucky consider it to be a southern state? Geographically it certainly isn't. It was divided in the Civil War. Yet many of the populace in KY consider themselves "southern". I'm a transplant to this region and I really don't see it as southern, maybe in the areas south of Lexington and possibly eastern kentucky. However, the majority of the population is NOT southern.
