March 9, 200719 yr So if State beats Vandy/Arkansas tomorrow....do they get in, or do they need to win the entire tournament? I think they are on the bubble with the win over Kentucky, they win tomorrow, I would think they have to be in.

March 9, 200719 yr I was hollering at UK to foul as State was bringing the ball up the court with the final seconds ticking off. They could have fouled with a couple of ticks left. What do you think MSU's chances of winning in that scenario would have been? The odds of making a 3-pointer and tying the game are much better. If the call was not to foul, let's extend the low BB IQ to the UK staff as well. This is something that Vitale has advocated for years and many coaches seem to be bitten by this last second three pointer time and time again. You will see it again next week as well. DUMB, DUMB, DUMB!
March 9, 200719 yr Crawford may have the worst basketball IQ of any player I've seen this year. Once again, Uk is not able to finish in the final minute. On to the 7-10 matchup... I say the 8-9 game against guess who the Duke Blue Devils. I pray that is our first round opponent.
March 9, 200719 yr I say the 8-9 game against guess who the Duke Blue Devils. I pray that is our first round opponent. That would be a crazy thought.
March 9, 200719 yr Why does everyone on this team think they have to do everything theirselves? Crawford wouldn't give up the chance to make the shots and Bradley has did that in several other games. Who lost this game for Kentucky? I will tell ya right now Kentucky did not lose this game the refs cost us. How do you call a lane violation and if Meeks gets a second free throw it's game over. We did not deserve to lose this game.

March 9, 200719 yr It is a violation by the letter of the law and is a mental mistake that a better team would avoid.

March 9, 200719 yr Is it just me or does it seem like you have to work to be a UK fan? I'm worn out! JMO but if a person has to "work" at being a U.K. fan then I don't know if they are a real U.K. fan or not. I agree with being worn out, after this game I am drained.
March 9, 200719 yr Once again UK can't close the deal, story of this year's team. Great game by Morris.
March 9, 200719 yr Two down years by UK standards and everyone is throwing a hissy fit. Tell me this, how many championships did UK win between 1958-1978? NONE! Between '78-96? NONE! Look at Duke, another top program having a down year. It happens. The Cats will be fine. The people who call for Tubby's head obviously no nothing about the game of basketball. As many bashers say they want whats best for the program. And I do too, and right now, Tubby is whats best for the program. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: Great Post !!!!!!!!! Excellent.
March 9, 200719 yr I have already that is not OTS fault. The two big OTS errors was the lane violation and overall decisions like not fouling with less than five seconds and not getting a shot at the end of the game again.
March 9, 200719 yr It is a violation by the letter of the law and is a mental mistake that a better team would avoid. Please explain the letter of the law that your are pointing to. The rule says Thomas can't leave his spot once "the ball is placed at the disposal of a free-thrower". IMO, he clearly left prior to the shooter having "disposal of the ball". I only saw the play one time (great timing - I was at the turn in the clubhouse), was there something else that caused the violation?
