The lane violation was garbage.... He moved before the ball was out of the officials hand.

RP, I agree that they aren't in the top 25 teams but I really don't think that Winthrop or UNLV are either, so who knows?

Great game to watch! I'm upset with the outcome, but that was fun.

UK just didn't have the legs at the end IMO. Almost every break went State's way late in the 2nd and OT. The "lane violation" was questionable at best.

Gordon is a stud. He made Bradley look like his little whipping boy. As I've said all along I don't mind if they lose as long as the efforts there. Today they left everything they had on the floor (well, all but one), and you can't ask for much more than that.

On to the Big Dance, I say they go in as a 7.

Already eclipsed yesterday's thread on the win.

This game has to be on Tubby but we do not have very smart basketball IQ from players. Bobby Perry has the ball and thepasses it to Morris so they could foul him instead of Perry. The lane violation was OTS's fault. We they showed the angle down the lane, Thomas looked over his lft shoulder to Tubby who was waiving them off the line. The other angle clearly showed OTS waiving his right arm to move them off the line and Thomas left. He wasn't leaving because of the time out because he was going down the floor instead of the bench. Alos Morris fouls and lets he State player make the basket and Meeks misses a wide open lay-up. Then the final straw is when we don't foul with less than 5 seconds on the clock. Only UK can loose this game.:fight: :fight: :fight: :fight: :fight:

Sounds like it was ABSOLUTELY Tubby Smith's fault

I don't agree with a 7 but well said... :thumb:

Then the MSU player walked into the lane pointing. I wasn't sure what the announcers were saying, but the ref's pass and Thomas' motion seemed pretty much simultaneous.

I wish UK was in the NIT so they would fire twelve loss TUBBY!!!!!!!!!!!

Morris misses two big foul shots and Meeks misses wide open lay up... definitely Tubby's fault
I agree them are not OTS fault but please look at the things that were his fault. Our players are not smart. Don't blame Morris for missing the FT, blame Perry for passing to him without being pressured. Morris is not a guard and we pass it to him in the back court.
Hes talking about before they had to foul.

Yeah..:ylsuper:

but you know what.

Apples and oranges.

Some people call the timeout, some dont.

We should have been up prior to that to start with.

The bottom line was that MSU fouled out 3 players and we missed huge free throws.

Ouch, I never thought I would compare UK with Winthrop or UNLV (except maybe early 90's Rebs)

They are not a 7...they may be a 10....a 7, would put them somewhere around #28...and we know that's not true.

Coming from the guy who thinks Duke should be a 6....
