March 9, 200719 yr This game has to be on Tubby but we do not have very smart basketball IQ from players. Bobby Perry has the ball and thepasses it to Morris so they could foul him instead of Perry. The lane violation was OTS's fault. We they showed the angle down the lane, Thomas looked over his lft shoulder to Tubby who was waiving them off the line. The other angle clearly showed OTS waiving his right arm to move them off the line and Thomas left. He wasn't leaving because of the time out because he was going down the floor instead of the bench. Alos Morris fouls and lets he State player make the basket and Meeks misses a wide open lay-up. Then the final straw is when we don't foul with less than 5 seconds on the clock. Only UK can loose this game.:fight: :fight: :fight: :fight: :fight:
March 9, 200719 yr It was working. Then coach the other guys for the rebound or the box out. I like having a gameplan with the game on the line. Not just letting Crawford put his head down and dribble. Even though he was getting penetration that way..MSU got used to him not passing it off after getting in. That was the first time they stopped it. Like I said... darned if you do, darned if you don't if it doesn't work.
March 9, 200719 yr The end comes down to execution. Crawford plays well but then forces it and doesn't even look for Morris. Morris plays great but misses two huge free throws. Then the lane violation. Don't even get me started on that one. I've never thought Thomas was a UK caliber player but I liked him because he hustled and accepted the role he was given and that makes me feel that much worse for him. As for calling timeouts, I think we need to quit calling TO's to set up plays at the end of games. We seem to turn it over more often than not--I honestly think we tighten up with the play stoppage. Overall, I am happy about the heart we showed (for once), just dissatisfied with the brains. I agree.

March 9, 200719 yr It's frustrating to lose to a team that is NIT bound after two starters and a reserve foul out...I mean, this is a game Kentucky should win. Unfortunately, it's the same old song and dance...this is nothing new. Looks like an 8 or 9 seed to me.
March 9, 200719 yr Didn't they? Perry to Meeks on the inbound Meeks calls a quick TO? Before that possession. When Crawford brought it across court with time winding down and then drove to have his shot blocked. It is half a dozen of one, six of another. If he makes it..then it works, ya know. I just don't like playground ball with not coached plays to try to stay in the SEC.
March 9, 200719 yr That's my guess, I say Kentucky is a 7 come sunday. They are not a 7...they may be a 10....a 7, would put them somewhere around #28...and we know that's not true.
