March 9, 200719 yr Two down years by UK standards and everyone is throwing a hissy fit. Tell me this, how many championships did UK win between 1958-1978? NONE! Between '78-96? NONE! Look at Duke, another top program having a down year. It happens. The Cats will be fine. The people who call for Tubby's head obviously no nothing about the game of basketball. As many bashers say they want whats best for the program. And I do too, and right now, Tubby is whats best for the program.

March 9, 200719 yr Panther - I hear what your saying... We live in a different world these days. After a win or a loss, we get on the laptop and bark up and down. 30 years ago you talked to friends and neighbors the next day. We live in a win and win again society ( I know you know this, but it is so true ). Im not saying its right, but UK fans are spoiled (me included) and we expect a very high standard of play and results. When we dont see the results its the what have you done for me lately syndrome..... The general thinking is that somebody is responsible (getting paid big bucks to coach basketball...) and that if the results are not forseeable, then change must occur. Its kinda like todays stock market. Cant make any money buying high and selling low...... The slope of the program is negative...... Question is, when does UK stop the downward trend ???? I for one have accepted the 12 - 13 loss season at UK. I feel it is the best we can do now. Thats reality.... Enjoy March Madness...........
March 9, 200719 yr That's what makes Virginia basketball SO SPECIAL. They only win 20 games every 5 years or so. You REALLY appreciate the good year when it comes around. lol

Lowest basketball IQ of any UK team, maybe any college team I've seen.(you think Bradley can spell his name right two times out of three?) 3. Have found ways to lose close games late time and time again. 4. Blows an opportunity for a much better bracket draw in the Dance. Should be out quick now. 5. Why in the name of all that is sacred do you not foul when up three with 5 seconds to go? State would have had two make two free throws and then either get a rebound, foul UK and hope for two misses, and then make an amazing shot all in about 3 seconds or so. Utterly STUPID!!!!

That is something I will never understand, how many times do you see a buzzer beating 3 pointer go in as opposed to a missed shot tip in. Let them use up as much clock as possible then foul when you are up by 3. We will see it again next weekend, a team will be up 3 and give up a last second 3 pointer instead of fouling.

A foul would be the smart decision, but it's not like everyone else does it. I can't remember the last time I saw a team foul when up 3 in those situations.
