Transfers Between High Schools Policy

BGP is not a clearinghouse or platform for speculation, rumors, or discussion of potential or anticipated student-athlete transfers.

The use of the terms “transfer portal” or “portal” to describe high school student-athletes is prohibited in all high school forums.

Only confirmed transfers may be discussed, and discussion must be strictly limited to factual reporting of the move (i.e., the student-athlete has transferred from School A to School B).

Permitted content is limited to basic factual information such as the athlete’s name, sport/position, and the schools involved.

The following are strictly prohibited:

• Any speculation, inference, or commentary regarding the reasons for a transfer.

• Any discussion, suggestion, or implication of recruiting, inducement, eligibility issues, or rule violations in connection with a transfer.

• Generalized commentary about schools, coaches, programs, or communities engaging in recruiting behavior based on transfer activity.

• Attempts to indirectly question or interpret motives behind a transfer.

No discussion of transfers is permitted unless the transfer has already been officially completed and publicly confirmed. Even in those cases, discussion must remain strictly factual and non-interpretive.

This forum is not the venue for reporting or debating KHSAA violations. If you believe a violation has occurred, report it directly to the Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA).

No false, unverified, or misleading information may be posted.

Definitely some kinks that need worked out and it’s certainly not what it was, but this is a positive step. It seems very readable. I hope they make it easier to click from one team to the next. Will also need to see how stats work.

There seems to be a lot of schools on the list that are not Kentucky schools and the rosters are not accurate hopefully they correct these problems but I don’t think it will ever be as simple as the Riherds one was.

It’s a reskinned Arbiter. It’s better than that site, but still, it’s Arbiter at heart and that’s not good.

My disappointment is immeasurable.

Very disappointed in the first version. The overall design is very poor, and it is not functional or accessible at all. The header navigation has several links that just take you back to ArbiterLive. So what's the point of the new site if everything is still on Arbiter? It is horrendous on mobile.

I was expecting something like the WIAA. The WIAA desktop and mobile site are incredible. The WIAA Live mobile app is even better and let's you get score notifications and create an account.

This is on the KHSAA. Arbiter has shown they can build a great site and app. The KHSAA should have just said to build them a site and app like WIAA. I mean, the KHSAA used an AI graphic for the scoreboard. That's embarrassing.

With the KHSAA scoreboard being a thing of the past, where are you guys going to view schedules and rosters?

On Day 1, I thought it had potential. But you're right, it is terrible. Takes multiple clicks just to get to scores, has scores from multiple dates with no clear division, scrimmage results are posted alongside regular games, and you can't easily click from one team to another. The KHSAA had years to make this work - why they didn't just buy the existing scoreboard and keep it running astonishes me - and they've thrown out this hunk of junk with their Arbiter contracted partners and said you'll have to like it.

Bottom line, a year ago @theguru and I had a conversation about how everything at the KHSAA just seems a little stale, a little blase, a little "we don't really care what you want, this is what you're getting." They didn't listen about game programs, they've not listened about event locations, and now they aren't listening about the scoreboard. Maybe it will get better, but I'm almost of the notion that, much like Barnhart/UK, the KHSAA needs a similar refreshing.

I am not the expert here @Father Time but it looks like you are "basically" at the right place. The KHSAA is doing something where the actual link is masked and everything appears as https://khsaascoreboard.org/

I am going to include a screenshot, it took awhile to load for me and I got that same error at the top of the page but eventually the scoreboard displayed.

This new scoreboard operates like a big hunk of junk...

Oh, my. What an absolute mess. Does anyone act like a user and review something like this before they throw it out there? Zero practical use for me.
