Imo the stats I listed above are what beat U.K. tonight. U.K. players did not quit when it would had been easy for them to on more than one occasion. They played hard all night. I may read al the post in this thread later but I just didn't want to read any of the Tubby bashers if they surfaced again. Tubby Smith plain and simple outcoached Billy D. in this one..............period. Tough, tough loss in a game that we could had knocked doff the #1 team in the country (and they are the #1 team) tonight and pulled to within one game of the SEC lead. That didn't happen so now the Cats just need to get focused and move on to what imo will be very tough strech of the schedule. 4 of the last 6 games are on the road including games at Tenn., Bama and Fla.. Great effort by the Cats. The shots didn't fall, end of story.

Also, the Rupp crowd was awesome tonight. If the Cats would have pulled this one out I would have had to nominate the crowd for m.v.p.!

Brewer is from somewhere in Tennessee I believe. He did everything short of beg Tubby to recruit him.

Portland, Tennessee. 20 miles south of Bowling Green on I-65.

They definitely had something to do with it, but UK still missed a LOT of open threes. A lot.

No doubt...But someone was trying to argue that UK simply shot bad, and UF had no impact on that...Shenanigans.

If UK cannot be the Gators tonight, they're not going to beat them. If you can't beat them with the crowd, the 2 big men in foul trouble early, and the defense playing well, you're simply not going to beat them.

Please tell me it hasn't taken you 4 years to realize Perry isn't a big game player.

The most positive thing to come out of this game is.... UK is now a game closer to Perry and Thomas graduating.:dancingpa

I would have liked to have seen Porter get in the game, especially when the gators went zone…

He's not near quick enough to handle the pressure that would have came at him AS SOON as he came in the game.

Porter gets the ball ripped from him to easily. When he can handle the pressure I see him getting bigger minutes.

I would have loved to see what would have happen if he would have hit that cheerleader for UK. Talk about one of those male cheerleaders laying into him.:fight:

Since Im sure they're so manly...

Also the Wright kid down in UNC, he was recruited by UK, and he is stepping his game up as we speak!

Wright is an example of Tubby's inability to seal the deal in recruiting. Hansborough too. I think those two are bigger issues than Lofton. But three years later, we can't stop hearing about Chris.

I still don't see how Noah is going to be an impact player in the NBA.

And that's a big part of my point. Playing like this isn't common for Florida. For UK... you watch the games... ;)

UK doesn't play great all the time, but I would love to know when the last time was they shot this poorly from both the FT line and behind the arc.

UK had a hand in UF playing as they did. I would venture that UF hasn't seen a defense like UK's all year.

Side note, UF 64, SCAR-61 (second half)

I have to agree here. Hopefully they can prove me wrong.

He doesn't need to be as long as he's producing at UF.

I agree. He's a good college player, but he has no shot, limited rebounding against a sizable opponent, and can't really handle the basketball. He'll be drafted, but I'll be shocked if he is much of a contributor.
