February 11, 200719 yr Because, if Florida is your most hated, that means The Ville isn't... Ah. Really and truly, I don't hate UL. I don't especially like them, but most of the time when they're not playing UK, I'll root for them.
February 11, 200719 yr Well now that they are the current SEC power and we are the former SEC power, its a rivalry. This is year 2 for them atop the confrence....I wouldn't really compare them to what UK had previously. I just don't consider UK/Florida a rivalry. If Florida keeps it up for another couple years, maybe so, but I would be shocked if that happened.
February 11, 200719 yr I interviewed him quite a bit while I was at Marshall. He was always very good to me. I think you might be thinking of my problems with Jim Donnan... Does he sound like a New Yorker in person?
February 11, 200719 yr I'm tired of looking back at the "good ol' days." I want to see the win-loss differential increasing, not decreasing. :thumb:
February 11, 200719 yr Observations: 1) That was about as HARD as I've ever seen a Kentucky team play defensively. 2) FT shooting beats teams at all levels 3) A few very questionable calls, mostly during 1st half. 4) Give Chris Lofton 23 looks from 20 feet....does he make more than 3? Blind folded? probably. 5. Biggest fault I've had with Tubby and their offense, is in games like this...grind out...Mich. St (of old) type of games...a half court offense with continuity is NEEDED...you can't stand and expect good things to happen... 6. Crawdaddy palms the ball actually more than what is called 7. Depth showed... 8. Crowd was electric....probably best ever...I wasn't there though 9. Jasper will have to develop a penetration threat and somewhat of a 3 point threat. 10. Kentucky is a good team...just waiting for them to pull a big upset...seems to weird to say, but they are long over due.
February 11, 200719 yr UK was off their game as well. And that's nothing new. They have enough talent to do major damage, but more often that not they are inconsistent at best. That's not Florida's reputation. UK got everything they needed for a signature win. And they didn't have a lead once. Was 0-0 the only tie? If you expect the same type game in the O Dome, we'll revisit this in a few weeks...

The game in Florida is going to be a nasty one for UK. Go ahead and add that one to the "L" column. However, I do think that will be the last game that UK loses for the season till Selection Sunday.

The O-Dome might be the toughest place to play in the SEC. Its a non-glorified Cameron Inn Door... very hostile.
February 11, 200719 yr It may have been a good thing the shot by Bradley didn't go in. I don't think I could have listened to much more of Dickie V. He is a great guy but he wears on you after a while. More than once I used the mute button.

And in truth, I think the shot Bradley missed was the only time they actually had the ball with a chance to tie once it went above three.
February 11, 200719 yr And in truth, I think the shot Bradley missed was the only time they actually had the ball with a chance to tie once it went above three. I thought it looked good! Ah, but alas.
February 11, 200719 yr I thought it looked good! Ah, but alas. Me too. I slammed my fist on the desk three time after he missed it.

Down in UF it very may well be a tough day for the Cats, but I'm not worried about it. I'll start thinking about it probably 2 maybe 3 days before the game.
