Florida 64 Kentucky 61

Classy post Deuce!!!!

And he was dead on. UK played their tails off, but they didn't execute when the chips were on the table. Every time it got too close for comfort Florida extended the lead. Maybe it's that I've watched this game on a much smaller scale more that enough this season...

No shows by Perry, and I can deal with that but Crawford was invisible. Cats just couldn't get over the hump, they had many, many chances but their offensive game from the perimeter was horrid. They couldn't have asked for a better scenario, UF's two studs get into foul trouble and UK still couldn't get it done.

UK didn't play very good and still hung tough. Hats off to both teama.

OK, Gottlieb just threw it out there saying that this was a terribly officiated game, with strong inference that it was in favor of Kentucky (forgetting that the fouls were all but even, there was just more of them on single players for UF). What say you, how was this game officiated?

BTW, Gottlieb has fast attained the position of analyst I like the least. I'm not going to say some of his points aren't valid, but while you do want actual victories rather than moral, he acts like UK just got blown out.

Great minds think alike.:D

He was right on UK had every chance to win this game they just couldn't get over the hump.

He's an idiot and I turn to BGP when he starts talking...

Goodness I hope your right. I could see us losing all of them. UK on the road... is hit or MISS.

Heck if they played like they did tonight and just hit 1/3 of their shots from anywhere on the court they can beat anyone.

Both teams played poor, but UF hung on.

I'm really not even upset with the loss. I learned a while ago the games are much more enjoyable when you watch for enjoyment rather than as if your life was on the line.

Very civil thread. Great work folks... :thumb:

Very true, but I hate getting aggravated at a game like this and not being there to let everyone within 10 rows of me hear it as well.:thumb:

Very suprised. :fire:

Here's my main point. When you play a legit #1 (and I think we can all agree that's what Florida is) you need a lot to go your way to beat them. Such things include...

1. Foul trouble for their best players.

2. Their best shooter is ice cold.

3. Your D gives them fits.

4. Your crowd is EPIC.

5. You get a shot to send it to OT with their roster in major foul trouble.

UK had a ton go their way, and they lost. Like I said. Keep spinning...

They had a lot go their way and shot 3-22 from 3 point land and awful from the free throw line. There is no spinning there. I know you love to ruffel feathers of the CATS fans but to act like they couldn't play with them is kind of silly. I think Florida battled a ton of adversity toinght but I also think UK made some awful offensive decsions by taking lower percentage shots and not attacking the guys in foul trouble.

I agree with you that the game was right there for UK to take and it went the way they needed it to go. I don't think you are giving enough credit that they took the #1 team in the land to the final buzzer and shot as bad as they could shoot. If this were UC then I don't think this is the attitude you would have. It's all good though. I know you like to bust chops in these situations. That's one reason I've grown to enjoy the sarcasim sometimes.

Almost to page 6 and no sign of a LOCKED THREAD yet, I am shocked!!

Honestly can you ask much more from UK in a game like that. They hung tough and played their hearts outs. Just didn't have enough to get it done.

I have learned on here to take GT with a grain of salt. Its all good, at least he is a Reds fan:thumb:
