Florida 64 Kentucky 61

Featured Replies

Smith had the Cats controlling the tempo. The Cats played the defense. They outrebounded Florida. The Cats didn't make their free-throws, and there isn't a thing that Tubby could do to change that. If Florida is "elite," then why didn't they run away with this game? A good coach could have found a way to win by 10+. I'm not a Tubby supporter, but this loss was far from his fault.

My biggest question lies with the substitution pattern. Thomas and Perry are limited at best, and Crawford did nothing all night. Why did they stay in the game? Not saying they shouldn't played, but they played too much. Why was Morris out when we were down six late? Why aren't we preaching to pound it into the low block, especially when Florida is in foul trouble? He's not a bad coach, just very confusing.

He recuited those players that are not good shooters. We have not had a pure shooter since Cameron Mills.

Tennesse has a pretty pure shooter...

Donovan had 2-3 starters on the bench most of the game due to foul trouble, and his team won...How did he get outcoached?

Morris played a total of 8 minutes in the first half, how did Florida not run away with it then?

Like I said last page, Florida played badly, but really so did UK. I actually feel just fine about this game GT, because I think they can build off of this. Just a feeling.

Guys we need to have a short memory on this one. Tuesday night is gonna be rough.

Gerald Fitch was a quality shooter.

WHY would you keep shooting threes if you were already 0-12 or whatever! Tubby should have dared his boys to shoot any more threes! TO much standing around on offense, the only time Kentucky would mover toward the basket was with 8 seconds left on the shot clock! What I don't get is WHY you wouldn't take the ball to the rack, with BOTH of Florida's BIG MEN in foul trouble.

I thought we played hard you can't say we didn't. Kentucky battled back numerous times, so I'm pleased with the effort today!

Knowing we can play with the number 1 team in the country and shoot the ball as awful as we did should give Everyone more confidence IN MARCH!

With about 13 minutes to go in the 2nd half and Crawford not doing anything, I take him out and let Meeks have a shot at it. Crawford was killing me all night.

They were up as much as 14, and UK made a run, as they do against every team....

Florida went ICE COLD. They were stuck on 31 points for about 6 mins.

Yeah, UK needs to start looking ahead right now.

They are not a team prone to foul trouble, and they made some very stupid fouls that landed starters and reserves on the bench. The Gators didn't shoot well. Just like UK they missed more than a few open looks. If you've watched Florida this year, you know it's not often they play as poorly as they did tonight. UF didn't play well and UK still didn't have a lead all game in front of the biggest and maybe loudest crowd in Rupp history. Feel good about it if you can...

Maybe I should rephrase....Florida didn't play bad anymore than UK did. As I said the difference in the game was FTs.

Yea I agree this whole team played bad except Morris> Now I think that the whole team very good on D!

If we can get that offense turned around we would be in fine shape!:ylsuper:

He kills me quite often. I know his point totals are good, but he's a black hole when the ball is passed to him. Nothing sharp about his game, except supposedly he's a good shooter. Wasn't there tonight; and I judge big games harder than a trip to Ole Miss.
