Do they play their first game in the bowl game against Glasgow next year I know when Glasgow/ Barren Co bowl game existed before they would bring two teams in and swap after the first year wasn’t sure if they were doing that next year or not. If so that might be a pretty tough game for a new coach to start their career.

Maybe before Coach Burns arrived in Pulaski County. Warriors numbers have been down the last couple of seasons and they’re coming off of a 1-10 record, not sure how big that really is.

While Pulaski is in a far better place right now, they only had 46 kids on their roster this past season.  Fifteen of them, almost 1/3 were freshmen.   Southwestern had 40 on their roster.

GJ Woolridge has to be the guy for this job.

Don’t see this happening. Not sure the board has a good taste in their mouth after he took his kids from the county and went to the city this year. He also had a teaching job and no longer has that this year.

Tom Greer is name that is floating around with this job.

No chance they hire Tom Greer. Tom agreed to be the DC stepped out on them in June. Would be a terrible call by SW.

Other name is Nick Mills. Coached there at one time.

Why would it be terrible?

Maybe he left because he got there and saw a mess Foley was in and didn't want to be a part of that. There could be several legit reasons to leave quickly.

To commit to a school in February, weasel out the current DC, and then ditch that school in June with barely anytime to find a replacement IMO says a lot about someone’s character. If the mess was that bad he’d have seen it I would think the four months he was there.

Former Georgetown All American WR, Kenan McWhorter, would be an excellent hire for Southwestern. He did a super job turning around Berea as their HFC. He was our WR/DB Coach this past fall at Anderson Co. HS. Knowledge of the game is through the roof. Ability to lead and build relationships with kids is exceptional.

Will Jack Herron, Glasgow DC and former Southwestern DC be interested in this opening? He did just have one of the best overall statistical defenses in the entire state.

As a huge fan and supporter of this program, Coach Herron would be at the top of my list.  He is young, hungry, energetic.  A return to SW with something to prove?  I love the notion.  Whoever SW hires, they have work to do.  Parents, admin, etc. will need to be patient.

Have heard Nick Mills.

If true, I think Coach Mills would be a great hire.
