? Surging Devils Keeping Their Eyes On The Prize

Remember when Owensboro got shellacked in Weeks 1 & 2?

I can, but it's hazy.

The optics surrounding the Devils have rotated a full 180°. They've looked every bit a state title favorite ever since.

They're riding a ten game win streak, rolling the opposition by an average score of 51-9. DaMarcus Ganaway has hit his stride running the offense and Evan Hampton is taking longer strides than ever before as the field has opened up for him.

The offensive line and entire defense have clicked. Owensboro stands before us a complete team.

Dirt was also being shoveled on Fairdale after a 1-4 start that included getting mauled by Wofo and losing to a Danville team that went 0-11 last year (we didn't know how improved the Ads were at the time).

The Bulldogs have also turned their season around, winning their last seven in mostly dominant fashion.

Fairdale has thrived on defense, allowing just seven points per game during their current streak. But they haven't faced an offense this diverse or fleet footed.

Rash Stadium and its inhabitants have gotten the better of Fairdale in the Bulldogs’ two prior visits by a combined score of 77-6. Will this week be any different?

  • I expect a big win this Friday for the devils, as does everyone else when you look at the poll, and I think they are definitely a favorite for the 5A title. Having said that it makes it hard for me to

  • The mid- to upper-60s will be the initial temperature range. Around the fourth quarter, they will drop to the low 60s. There's a good chance of showers/thunderstorms.

  • First offensive play for Devils G’way to Dillard for a 90 yard TD.   7-0 Owensboro

I can’t see this one being very close.

Red Devils name the score.

The only way to slow this Devils team down is long drawn out drives like the Gators did. I don’t see Fairdale being able to do that. Devils go up early fast getting good contributions from Shemwell, Bryant, Green, Fountain, Dillard and Hampton.

Devil 56 Bulldogs 7

Owensboro names their score.  Outside of Atherton this year, 5A football in Louisville is not good.

Fairdale another good season, they seem to own that district.  Some good players, but I believe Owensboro if they are focused wins this handily.  41-14 Devils as they move to the semis,

Owensboro 48-13.

Owensboro will roll in this one!

Owensboro running clock - 56-12

Our Red Devils are flying under the radar and we love it. Ready for Fairdale Friday night. Not worried about Semi Finals or Finals until we get there.

Our Defense is on another level:

Owensboro 49

Fairdale 0

Devils! Devils!
