Raceland over Scott County is hard to believe.  But Raceland is going to be 15-0, so maybe I am wrong.  I think Belfry is getting votes based on name only and not the actual team this year.

As I stated on a previous post, preseason rankings and even the rankings after the 1st week are a joke. OC 8th in the state? Who are we kidding, I'm not sure how many teams below them they could beat. Personally, I don't take rankings seriously until week 4 or 5, even in the college game.  Relax everyone there's a lot of football left to be played.

Well I’m pretty sure I know one team…

No offense to Tilghman or Boyle but how in the world is X rated #5?  They just clocked O - who played really well in 2 scrimmages against South Warren and Mayfield.  I figure that to change soon.

You know, I appreciate KSR for recognizing my Rams. Personally, I think it is well deserved. On face value, many may think that is undeserved, but I think Raceland could give several teams above them a great game, and possible even beat one or two of them on any given night. 

Those at the top are all deserving and may take it for granted, but I appreciate the bubble guys at the bottom and appreciate the consideration.

Sure, it’s a lot of speculation and innuendo but I think if you talk to many people at Belfry, they would tell you Raceland played them well in the scrimmage and would have likely beat the Pirates in a game, at that point. I think Ashland will give Johnson Central all they want and possible beat them and Raceland beat Ashland.

And, based on last year, Raceland retunes almost everyone and played LCA very well and almost got the upset  

So, I think Raceland is as deserving as anyone in the bottom seven at this point.

all four of the 5A teams listed 17-20 & Atherton could beat some of the teams ahead of them, can’t wait for 5A to rise!

I guess 64 just wasn’t enough. 72 may have done it. 
 

Disappointing, to say the least. 

I guess I lost track of the source of the Poll.  KSR knows very little about high school sports aside from the fact the show and the host being a joke.

Raceland shouldn’t realistically of been up there in the first place, but if you make a mistake at least own it!

On the surface, you may correct, but for the sake of argument:  I firmly believe Raceland would have beaten Belfry (21) if their scrimmage was a real game and, Raceland beat Ashland, who I think has a great chance of beating Johnson Central (23).  So, I think there is an argument.  But, the true disappointment is, Raceland was there last week, won a game scoring 64 points and drops out without anyone at the bottom of the poll really surprising anyone with big wins to push Raceland out.  

But, so be it.
