I just noticed that he was the assistant head coach for the West in the All-Star game that was just played.  Is that correct?

Yes. I had just spoke to him that night at Dixie.

I heard about this a little bit ago, and still shocked. Coach Trosper was obviously a great coach and tremendous competitor on the football field. However, he was also a great man off the field. I know he was someone that I learned a lot from as a coach, and was always there to help me in anyway. Prayers are with his family and the Conner community! 

What a huge shock, and such a tremendous loss for NKY football. Can't imagine what his family, players, staff and the community of Hebron are going through right now.

Oh my gosh. I had plenty enough interactions with him with football games. Intense but respectful. Unreal. Prayers to him and his family. 

David would tell everyone that I named my youngest son after him... "Trosper David" Buchanan. I would tease him about that single "Trosper" eyebrow that covered both eyes. 

Today we lost a guy that loved kids and made KY HS Football much better. Very sad, but absolutely a life well lived and worthy of much celebration. David Trosper's impact on others will live on for a long, long time. 

My youngest son is a student assistant at the University of Kentucky and is pursuing a career as a college football coach. That name combo & legacy will pack an extra punch in memory of Coach David Trosper.

Extremely sad news tonight from Conner High School.

Head football coach Dave Trosper died suddenly today at his home.

He had been the head coach at Conner since 2007.
 

Prayers for his family and Connor HS and the community. 

So sad prayers to his family and friends.

I'm sad for Dave's family, friends, and the Conner HS community as they deal with this unexpected event. 

Very sad. Coach Trosper was a staple in the NKY football community. Prayers for his family.
