ESPN today was having a discussion on how far teams would go to get their "dream" quarterback (or any player like Gardner).  The Jets have five first round picks in 2026 and 2027.  If you were the Bengals and the Jets offered some of those picks for Joe Burrow, would you listen?  How many of those picks would it take for you to pull the trigger?  All five?  Two?  Or do you tell the Jets to shove it?

That's a tough one. Only way I'd be even remotely interested is if Joe was interested as well. Thing is, Chase and Higgins are both semi-loyal to Burrow, meaning at the very least they wouldn't be happy with a trade like that after getting that trio under contracts.

And he's been handcuffed by his de facto general manager
But what’s become clear at this point, is the most damning thing for Taylor:
He’s clearly out of messages. He no longer even knows what to say. 
So, he’s got nothing left to offer.
Make no mistake, Taylor’s far from the biggest problem in this organization.
But he is the easiest to move on from. 
And the hamster wheel will keep turning.

Joe Burrow was a full participant in practice today.

I think he plays Sunday as long as he is feeling ok today.

None, as if I were to trade Burrow. I would want picks and proven big time players also in return. 

There really isn't a realistic trade out there that would make sense for the Bengals to move on from Burrow, and no realistic trade for the opposing team in regards to what they would give up. 

An example for me would be say if the Titans wanted to trade for Burrow. The only way I would even think about it would be if the Titans included Jeffrey Simmons, Cam Ward, Peter Skoronski, and a first round pick in 2026 and 2027. I don't see the Titans going for it, but that is the type of return I would want if I were to even think about moving on from Burrow.

I want the Bengals to keep Burrow.  He is a winner.  I guess the ESPN report was just speculation.  It seems that football trades these days mostly involve draft picks for teams that have them.  Player for player exchanges are more rare in the NFL than other sports.  If they do happen, draft picks are involved somehow.

No doubt, and I would never give Burrow away for just draft picks. Especially considering how bad the team is at drafting. I better be getting proven good players in return and also top picks too.

Ugh it just makes those losses to the Jets and Bears feel even worse now. They had both games won, and end up blowing it at the end. If they had won, they would be in first place currently right now, and would have Burrow back. They would be in great position. 

They just have to win two games against Cleveland and Baltimore and hope the others fall flat in their other division games. IF the BEngals win the division they are in regardless of record. Am I wrong?
