Why would the Bengals have any interest in a RB? What RB would they cut to keep this guy?

I agree and I feel we are set at RB.

Lou is a good coach and will land somewhere.  But I agree with him being let go.  The defense was consistently mediocre with flashes of really good play.  That side of the ball here needs a new voice.

Bengals were awarded ZERO waiver claims today... No clue if they even put any in but if they didn't, they are doing a disservice to Joe without at least trying to bolster that line.

Looks like the Bengals heard you.

I would take that guy over Perine. Perine is going to be fine as a 3rd down back but he doesn’t move as fast as he once did.

Which is about double what it was 15 years ago.

I am in discussions with the other family that share my tickets.  The Bengals offer 3 options to go from "convertible club" to "club".  We have until 9/30 to decide.
1) Accept the deal.  Pay the $3000/ticket (total $6000).
2) Do nothing.  The Bengals select two seats somewhere else in the stadium that is OUTSIDE the club space.
3) Decline the club seats and select 2 seats somewhere else in the stadium myself (there are 4 options for that which are complicated to process).

I guess there is that 4th option that the Bengals don't mention in the email.  I do enjoy going to the games.  It is a social event to take members of my family and enjoy each other's time together.  #2 is a definite NO.  I really don't see the benefit to #3 either.  Sitting in plastic seats instead of cushion seats.  If on the first level, everyone stands during most of the game.  If on the upper level, there is a lot of walking and I'm not a fan of the view up there.  I'm 65.  I've been spoiled being where I am now for years in the convertible club.

Desperation move.

Bengals put in one claim for a DT. Are they done or do they still look to add? A veteran safety and DT are now the biggest positions to add IMO.

I got a wonderful "gift" from the Bengals this morning in the form of an email telling me that my "convertible club" tickets that I have had since the beginning of the stadium are now going to change over to be "club" seats.  This is all due to the renovation.  I have one month to decide if I want to participate or be cast over to another part of the stadium.  Here is the lowdown for my section:

2025 (this year) - $1350/ticket
2026 (next year) - $6000/ticket

Yikes.

I am in section 249 and got the same email. I am not happy about it at all, as I love our seats. I get it, with the renovations, but it still sucks. As I know we definitely can't afford to pay what the club seat pricing will be now for these same seats. It would be nice it the Bengals would do something to make up for essentially pricing people out of their current seats, and not just say hey we will give you an earlier relocation period to pick from the few seats they do have open.

Agreed. Running back is probably the least of their concerns. Their starter Browns looks like a top 10 RB, if he continues how he played last year. They got Perine who is a good third down back and pass blocker. Then also just drafted a running back this year, who has looked really good.

This thread started back in January.  We have a lot more information now than then.  Preseason is over.  Roster is set.  What say you?   It’s time to make your final predictions.

I can’t remember any off season I have been more disappointed with.  Burrow and the offense will be very good.  I dare say historic good.  Unfortunately, I believe the defense will let this team down.

The schedule is tough.  The Ravens are great.  I originally picked a 10 or 11 win season.  My final prediction is a disappointing 9-8 finish, which I don’t think will make the playoffs.

Ultimately, I don’t think ownership has done enough.  I don’t think coaching will be good enough.  I am predicting a 3-3 in division record.  I see us getting off to a better start, but I only see 6 other wins on the schedule.

Interesting after just 4 games the Raiders have released Germaine Pratt today after he did not make the trip with the team to Indy this weekend.

Yeah, I wondered what that was all about when I saw that.  It didn't seem like he was having a bad year.  He was good in coverage and had 25 total tackles in 4 games.  There has to be more to this story.  I still have my Pratt Bengals jersey although it is in the pile of things to go to St. Vincent DePaul.
