Drew is an interesting choice. I think he'd do a really good job. He's also been consistently mentioned as a replacement for Calipari if/when Cal decides to retire. If he went to Louisville, not only would he make the Cardinals better, he'd likely be altering the future plans of their biggest rival in the process.

Out of all the names we've heard so far, Drew would be the best hire, in my opinion. I just doubt that he'd leave Baylor after so long.

And that's my concern with him. If he takes the Louisville job, would he bolt to IU when that opens again. 

Also I just don't think he's done enough to get me excited for him to be Louisville's coach.

That's how I felt when South Carolina hired Lamont Paris.  But in year 2, he's proving it was a great hire.

Time to get thread fired up, next few days weeks should be full of rumors and scuttlebutt.

I expect next Louisville coach to be officially named no sooner than a week from this coming Monday. If not then, I'd expect the next Monday at the latest.

Name I've seen in a couple places is Josh Schertz from Indiana State.   

If you are getting a proven coach, it looks like U of L folks would want a coach later than sooner.

I will be fine with any of those guys.

I have a delusional friend (and Card Fan) that has been saying for two weeks that the ADIDAS people want Louisville to succeed so badly that they will throw a ton of money out. He is convinced that the next Louisville coach will be another Adidas coach, wait for it....Bill Self! ? 

I laughed at him and asked why not Coach K and with a straight face he said, "He's a Nike guy."
