He definitely falls into the "if he's your guy you like him and if he's not, you hate him" category. 

This morning on ESPN's College Game Day it was reported that for a school to hire Cronin his buyout would be $20 million before March 31st and $16 million after March 31st. Then compare Musselman's buyout is only $1 million.

There’s apparently belief that he can get out of it.

Cronin is apparently Michigan’s target. He would want Louisville more. Does he know he isn’t getting it or pushing Louisville to act faster?

The last loss of the Payne era may not have been that bad getting beat by only 9 to the ACC Champs who beat Duke on Thursday and North Carolina tonight. ?‍♂️

Cronin won’t take Michigan unless he knows he doesn’t have a chance at Louisville. 

He wouldn’t know that until Scott Drew says no.

Sounding like the Scott Drew noise is being wrapped up, in that he’s likely not going to leave Baylor. that's what most expected. We’ll see who emerges as the #2 candidate. Could be wrapped up early next week.

That makes me think Mick Cronin, since all the other candidates are still working on winning NCAA games.

FAU could lose this weekend. I could see them losing on Sunday and Dusty May being announced Tuesday or Wednesday. 

Since Scott D. passed on the Ville, how about his baby brother Bryce?  Dude has had a good run at Grand Canyon and is a darling of the tournament!

His lack of success at Vanderbilt was odd, considering he's won big everywhere else. Seeing Jerry Stackhouse, who was also highly regarded, completely flame out at Vandy makes me think it is a Vanderbilt problem more than a coaching problem. I doubt Bryce Drew ends up at Louisville but I wouldn't be surprised if his name pops up at another bigger job real soon.

Of coaches likely available at this point, I believe that Cronin is the best option. I think Dusty May could be a good option, but I think that Cronin is better.

This below was from the Fans of Louisville Cardinals Facebook group I would definitely say he is not interested if this is reliable. 
 

Scott Drew told the University of Louisville Men's Basketball to go screw itself because of the way fans treated Kenny Payne. 

He turned down 12 million plus dollars a season. 8.5 million for him and 3.5 for assistants. 

The world watched an alumni, national champion, and respected man get treated like crap. No way would I ever sign my colleagues and family up to be treated like that. THEIR FANS LEAVE AT HALFTIME and never supported Kenny. 

Our fans here at Baylor never split after some very trying times here. We have a loyal and supportive fanbase, their fans were lead by louisville radio to cancel a great man and coach and I can't leave this to go there to that situation. 

Kenny had to clean up a lot of scum that the next coach will get credit for. Louisville is a dumpster fire and half of the Louisville fans are trash. 

I am happy to stay at Baylor for less money and a better program.
