There are 100 instances and we've had 2 cases of "injury".  In both cases, it appears the player contributed to it.  If Caitlin Clark stays with her team they walk off without an incident.  It sure looked like this guy acted out of panic or frustration.

Not sure you are correct with most of this; it at least is not an absolute. Some schools have outside management companies, but smaller (most) schools may not. At Murray State you have students handling many of these responsibilities.

There have been a lot more than two injury cases. There have just been two higher-profile players in the last couple of weeks. Heck, a student died during a field storming after a football game years back at a smaller school up in Minnesota.

I'm sure some smaller schools staff the arenas, but at larger venues it is an outside party.  Schools could demand a plan from them before they sign a contract I suppose.  At the Ohio State/Iowa game the staff did what they were instructed to do.  Clark elected to run off on her own. 

In the Duke game, does Scheyer get some blame?  There was 1 second left and they were down 4.  They weren't winning.  Why have your team in the middle of the court?  Get your team together, allow your opponent to run the last second and allow the staff to block off the crowd and escort you off the floor.  Now a last second shot changes the dynamic.

No, the fans or the home team deserve 100% of the blame. Again, if we have to go through this much of a process to protect players in their safe space just to allow "kids to be kids," the formula is all wrong.

I heard someone suggest taking a home conference game away the next season  each time there is a court storming may be more of a deterrent to students/fans.

This was the final confirmation of Duke's coaching transition. If Coach K were still the coach, Filipowski would have taken the charge there.

My suggestion is for the NCAA to post snipers throughout buildings, and just pick the students off one-by-one as they storm the court.

One interesting suggestion I heard from ESPN's Jay Bilas he said when the students come on the floor don't let them leave the floor and cite them and fine or bring charges against them.

I'd be all for this, and I'd go a step further.   Above is the first offense.   Do it again, arrest, fine, minimal jail time and dismissed from school.    Or if you want to be generous, dismissed from school after doing it thrice.

Way back when, the solution would have been simple:   the university president or athletic director would tell the students "don't do it'" and that would have been the end  of it.   But those days are obviously long gone.
