As a coach you CANNOT let that game get to OT, with that little time left you run right beside the dribbler until you get to 1/2 court and foul, of course you need to practice that!!  Could the KIDS have done things better tonight and in the other losses, ABSOLUTELY, could our HALL OF FAME 12-14 million/year COACH have done some IN GAME ADJUSTMENTS COACHING to help the KIDS win the game, AGAIN, ABSOLUTELY!!!

I think Sheppard would be fine with it, but yeah Dillingham probably would be all over the place lol

I could be wrong but I remember when a home loss at Rupp was rare and just playing there as an opposing team was an intimidation factor.  

I was at the game last night with my son. Rupp was just waiting to go nuts, but Florida had an answer every time. This game was a combination of missed opportunities and coaching. How many shots at the rim can we miss? How many times is Reed Sheppard going to pass up a lay-up to kick it out? How many times is Cal not going to the right thing in a crucial moment of a game? Foul up 3, Florida was in the bonus not the double. How about have the inbound play to one of your two best free throw shooters, even though Dillingham is the 3rd best. It's rinse repeat since 2019 at best.

Kept waiting for a mini run by UK to go up like 8 and they just never could. You could hear it on TV that they were waiting to explode.

Really wish Cal would've called a TO when Sheppard was taking out the ball and passing it to Dillingham but I think he usually takes it out in that setting because he's the best passer and then gets it back quickly.

That's the problem with Rupp...I have been to tons of games.  The crowd 95% of time is waiting on the team to give them a reason to cheer, instead of being hype and loud regardless of the play on the court.  

I thought our guys ran out of juice last night.  Mitchell was definitely fatigued...Cal has gone from one extreme South Carolina where he over substituted to last night where he didn't sub enough.

I believe he would have, but he can't trust Bradshaw or Z to grab a board or be in a suitable defensive position. Not much choice in the backcourt with the guys sidelined.

Having Dillingham (76%) shoot FTs at the end I can live with. Reeves (87.7%) and Sheppard (80%) are the best choices, obviously, but that is a hindsight 20/20 coach blame.

Fouling up three definitely should have happened. Not sure if he was calling for it or not? UK is horrendous at grabbing rebounds, so maybe he did not want to risk it (was he calling for it from the sidelines?). The egregious play in that sequence was Sheppard losing his guy for a wide-open look. That is on him, but it is more fashionable to blame the coach.

If we are being real about this, UK should have lost down in Gainsville. This was the basketball Gods correcting that.

He played really well offensively but really needs to cut down the ball watching. It's like is hunting where to take his chance to help off and get a steal, which he does really well, but you can't do it when you're guarding a shooter, especially one that is torching you.

UK would not have been in the position they were in last night if it were not for Sheppard... Both the good and bad.
