This is the kind of loss the selection committee in March can refer to when defending a lower seed for UK.

I didn't get to watch the game Saturday Night. I was working the FC semi finals and being disappointed there. Was shocked when I saw that they lost and haven't been able to bring myself to watch the game yet.

I already dispise Cal, I’ve been done with him since 2015, but his unnecessary shot at Reed Sheppard had me ready to punch a hole in the wall. He never takes public shots at any of “his” guys.

What did Cal say about him? I didn't see anything on Twitter about it but wasn't on it until real late Saturday night.

I think there is a lot to see in this loss about some things.

DJ Wagner is a must have for this team.  Foul trouble and fatigue in a close game won't be as difficult to overcome when he is available.  Depth is needed for this style of play.

I think Reed and Dillingham make their most impact when they come off the bench.  The other team has played 5 minutes and then suddenly they are hit with two guards who play even better than the ones they have been battling.

Bradshaw will be okay once he gets into game shape.  But there needs to be at least one other "big" to bring Depth.

Just my take.

????  I never heard anything either.  Anyone?

Cal seems to drop a lot games most feel he shouldn't with all of the talent he gets.

Is he overrated as a coach or are the players overrated?

Or could it be all that talent can not play as a cohesive unit because they are selfish players playing for themself?

Very easy answer here, Cal is the most overrated coach in college basketball history.

A lot of good thinking here.  Especially with regard to Wagner.

I don't see anything selfish about this team at all.  They're 6th in all of Division 1 in assists per game.  They're young and not having Wagner, who was really hitting his stride, hurt due to Dillingham having an off game.

More than Dean Smith?

When you usually have a brand new team every single year, you're going to have hiccups and take losses you shouldn't. That's not an excuse, just a reality. Exuse or reality, that's an ugly loss.

Calipari isn't a great X's and O's guy. Everyone knows it. Others aren't great recruiters and have to find a way to squeeze out every ounce they can and are only relevant every once in a while.

One thing this team has absolutely shown that it is not, is selfish.

AND he never makes any in-game adjustments

On this point, I have said it before and will say it again - I think Cal and Bob Huggins are very similar in how they coach.
