PT returns a good amount of good players next year and if we see BGP has them 5 or 6th in the preseason it will prove our point about the disrespect of western ky football.

I’m sure the top 3 will be Boyle,Corbin and Covington in no particular order even with Tilghman returning so many starters.

Then start beating those teams. When's the last time a team from Western KY beat a power from Central or Eastern KY? Outside of Mayfield, what other programs in the far west part of our state are competing with (and winning) against the state's top programs? It's hard to call it disrespectful when a team like PT is ranked at 4 through 7 all year and then watch them lose in the semi finals to a team that was ranked higher than them all year, it sounds like good rankings all year.

I’m not sure Carter is best player Cov Cath saw all year, and if so at  not by a wide margin. Maybe the fastest but that doesn’t necessarily mean the best. He had no or maybe one catch with Miller covering him. He couldn't get a clean release when pressed by Miller.

His speed made for over pursuit and opened cut back lanes    When it was working not sure why PT didn’t stick with it.  I noticed in warmups he did his own thing and he danced off to the  side while the team did their charge on to the field.

I do think one takeaway has to be that PT came in averaging 50+ points and about 500 yards, and were held to 14 and under 300 yards.  They need to leave McCracken Co and play some better competition, you can't play one other GOOD team, on September 1st, and expect to have your non-stars prepared for a game like last night.

What do you call beating CAL two years ago on CAL’S home field in the playoffs?🤷

They tried to schedule a top team in Louisville and they wouldn’t play Tilghman.

Paducah was averaging 51.8 points per game this season, with their low-water mark at 35 points against Mayfield back on September 1st. Covington Catholic them to 14 points last night. Big credit to Coach Brown and the Colonel defense, right there.

Coach Brown has been and continues to be one of the best DCs in the state, beginning back in his NewCath days.

Congrats to both teams!

Cov Cath earned the win by taking advantage of PT mistakes. PT will learn and get better from the experience. For the majority of the game they were probably the better team on both sides of the ball but you simply can't go on the road this late in November and have numerous dropped passes in open field, INTs from those dropped passes, bad snaps on punts, etc etc.

PT was not the better team for most of the game. The story of the 1st Half was CCH NOT capitalizing on turnovers. That kept PT close. After PT took a 7 point lead, CCH absolutely owned both sides of the line of scrimmage and played Championship football.

This is correct. Cov Cath needs better execution in the red zone if we want to beat Boyle for the title. We left 2-3 drives with no points once we got down there.

All due respect to Covington I would completely disagree with that,Tilghman was having their way moving the ball down the field! Turnover stopped their drive every time, and PT stopped Covington 3 times in the red zone in the first half! The momentum shift came from yet another PT mistake with a high snap on punt!

Great game by Cov Cath and good luck in the championship!

I count 6 starters lost by PT. 2 WRs, 1 OL, 2 DBs, 1 LB. Those were all very good players but PT will be loaded once again next year.  There’s a lot of talent in their current 8th and 9th grade classes who will begin making an impact.
