What an atmosphere Dennis Griffin was tonight! I have no voice after this game. I really thought that our inability to capitalize on PT mistakes in the first half would come back to bite us. And then, thankfully, they made one more which swung the momentum in our favor and they could never grab it back.

Extremely proud of this defense only letting PT score 14. I can see why Carter is a 4-star & has so many offers; not many receivers can make Cov Cath look like that. Glad we won’t have to see him next week.

Evan “Tebow” Pitzer is an absolute warrior. He earned every yard tonight. So did Leen. Really impressed by how Miller played as well.

This squad portrayed the resiliency & discipline they have all year. A total team effort, and I am so proud of them. Off to state.

GO COLONELS!!!!!

Paducah Tilghman is a good, good team. Easily the best opponent we've faced all year. Martels Carter is a hell of a player.

Glad someone said it

Y’all going to stop disrespecting western ky football just cause it isn’t on the east side of the state. We don’t play around here. Congratulations CC

PT returns a good amount of good players next year and if we see BGP has them 5 or 6th in the preseason it will prove our point about the disrespect of western ky football.

I’m sure the top 3 will be Boyle,Corbin and Covington in no particular order even with Tilghman returning so many starters.

The disrespect is wild.

Carter is the best player Cov Cath has seen up to this point. By a wide margin.

It will be interesting to see if any west ky players make 1st team all state?

Where should they start next season? Curious to where you would have them?

2nd or 3rd

Covington Catholic with 294 yards of offense in the game (48 passing and 246 rushing).

Paducah Tilghman with 189 yards of offense in the game (130 passing and 159 rushing).

Evan Pitzer with 123 yards rushing in the game for the Colonels. I don't have the stats at the moment, but that's probably close to a career high for Evan on the ground.

Paducah was averaging 51.8 points per game this season, with their low-water mark at 35 points against Mayfield back on September 1st. Covington Catholic them to 14 points last night. Big credit to Coach Brown and the Colonel defense, right there.

Highlights from the game last night start at the 5:17 mark. The play for Cov Cath's final touchdown starts at about the 6:05 mark in the video....Evan Pitzer absolutely runs over Martels Carter to get into the endzone.

Congrats to both teams!

Cov Cath earned the win by taking advantage of PT mistakes. PT will learn and get better from the experience. For the majority of the game they were probably the better team on both sides of the ball but you simply can't go on the road this late in November and have numerous dropped passes in open field, INTs from those dropped passes, bad snaps on punts, etc etc.
