Questions Abound As The Colonels And Jackets Backpedal Into Postseason Play

Records: Dixie (4-6) | Wofo (6-3)

BGP Rankings: Dixie (#9 in 5A) | Wofo (#5 in 5A)

Week 11 Results: Dixie lost to Ryle | Wofo lost to Ballard

Series History: First ever meeting

Teaser Preview: One of the marquee games of the first round is on tap in Versailles. Neither team is trending in a positive direction, but both are clinging to hopes of making noise in a crowded 5A playoff field.

Defensive improvement will be a priority throughout the week, as both teams had half a hundred dropped on them in their regular season finales.

Star DH linebacker Brach Rice, in the midst of a monster season, still brims with confidence despite Dixie's shortcomings in the big games. From the NKY Tribune:

"Woodford is beatable,” Rice said. "I feel like if we just come out and play our type of football like we did the first four weeks of the season we can beat anyone.”

Beating Wofo may require the services of Armani Gregg, who sat out the loss to Ryle. Regardless of who's taking the snaps for the Colonels, recent Ball State commit Layton Starks will have his ears pinned, looking to wreak havoc in the DH backfield.

That is a spot on summary of Dixie. Wish I had written it. Well done!

I am new this season to following Dixie football as my primary team.  I have a son in the band, so I've been at every game but 1. Dixie definitely looks the part with their players.  They are ove

I like Dixie in this game. I don’t know much about Woodford other than what I’ve watched on YouTube. I don’t believe Woodford is as good as their record shows. I know Dixie is better than what their record shows. Woodford looks bigger but Dixie has the better athletes. Dixie’s defense is better than Woodford’s offense. This game will come down to whether or not Dixie’s OC can call a good game.

Also I want to say, Mason Fields looked pretty good last week in his first actual game. He had some missed throws but that’s expected out of a sophomore getting his first start.

I could see Dixie winning for an upset. Regardless of winner, I believe it’s close for who wins.

The poll right now is 17-12 in favor of Dixie but in the Pick 5 contest no one has picked Dixie so far, weird...

Hoping Coach Johnson can pull off the W

I expect to see a heavy dose of Brach Rice when Dixie approaches the red zone. Should be quite a battle.

Hmmmm, so the people with some swag on the line are picking Woodford.

I assume that and a little NKY bias in the results.

I picked WC but I am leaning to Dixie winning. Qb1 is playing so that makes this game winnable.

Thankfully not lol. He used up all of his eligibility playing HS football from the 2nd grade on I believe. That is why we have the “Dennis Johnson” rule.
