I voted for Dixie in the poll, but I think it depends on the scheme the staff enters this week with. I can see a close Dixie win if players are put in a position to succeed, or a Woodford win by 3+ scores. Despite my vote earlier this week, I’ll say 31-9 Wofo. 

I wouldn't even call it gimmicky.  I'd call it bad play calling or not knowing any better.  They either need new coordinators, or the coordinators need to get someone to show them how to do much better at whatever it is they are trying to accomplish.

4 of their 6 losses were directly because of bad coaching decisions.  That's really hard on kids who are playing their rear ends off when they are put in next to impossible situations from those that are in charge of them.  

But the team has continued to play extremely hard each week despite that.

No.  

I coached high school football at a few different places for a decade, on both sides of the river.  Then, I gave it up as my own kids started with sports because I wasn't seeing my kids at all.  So for the past 8 years, I have picked a different game to go see in the tri-state with the family.  

It's been nice this season to have an actual team to root for again.

This year's offense definitely isn't gimmicky.  They get to the line quickly and then wait for the play.  Sometimes it takes way too long for that play to get in as it doesn't match the formation they're in.  Sometimes it makes you wish for last year's offense.  LOL.  When they run, they're going to run at you between the tackles.  There's no motion, no reverses, no counters, no sweeps, just pound it right at you.  The route running is very basic.  Mwamba or Beach are going to run go or post routes.  Everyone else is going to run short to intermediate routes.

Defensively, they're going to sell out 95% of the time leaving their DBs in 1-on-1 coverage.  They have two solid high school corners in Mwamba and Beach that they're willing to take their chances with.  Brzygot is the 3rd corner that is young but has improved as the season has gone along.  

As for the QB, Gregg is a solid high school QB.  IMO, his biggest issue this year seems to be his confidence passing the ball.  It's almost as though he's scared to over throw his receivers.  He has the arm for that not to occur 90% of the time.  I don't know if that is the pressure coaches are putting on him or just something he's putting on himself.  He needs to just cut it loose and let it fly.

I agree on the formations and passing concepts.

I disagree vehemently on your assessment of the corners.  They get beat for BIG yards and TDs in every game.  Dixie's run defense isn't a huge issue, it's them getting absolutely gashed in the pass game.  Their corners simply cannot run with receivers, now maybe that's coaching also.  The WRs run right by them in press man every time.  Maybe they are taught trail technique for some reason with no safety help?

Bored at work, so throwing out some numbers.

Dixie gives up 198 yards per game in the air.  Take away the BW and Ryle games, which were brutal, and they're down to 142 per game.  BW's speed at the receiver spot is unmatched.  In the Ryle game, Dixie just looked like they were going through the motions.  The most missed tackles I've seen all year.  They just looked lethargic. With Dixie's style, those DBs are left on an island all night long.  

Gregg as a sophomore had a 65% completion percentage. They had a lot more quick passes with the type of offense they ran last year.  This year, he's down to 57%.  As mentioned, he doesn't seem as confident throwing the ball down the field this year.  As for Fields, I haven't seen him play other than the Ryle game.  Therefore, I cannot say if I think they'd be better served with Fields at QB and Gregg at RB.  

Woodford will have the fastest player on the field.
