Ryle is not a 6A title contender, neither is Simon Kenton.

Quite frankly Northern Ky. 6A is shaky.  Simon Kenton seems to be the best of the bunch but what concerns me about them is they just give up a lot of points. 

That being said, I do believe 6A is more wide open than it has been in a long time.  While Male, Trinity and FD seem to be front runners they all have "chinks in the armor" that can be exploited and are vulnerable to getting beat by anyone in the Top 7 or 8 if things bounce funny.  

Simon Kenton has definitely shown the ability to score a lot of points so that does make them a dangerous opponent.

From what I have seen, I would be shocked if any NKY 6A school is still around come the third week of the playoffs.

Last year is a perfect example Louisville schools are no longer the all mighty!

If you made me pick today, I’d say Trinity is the favorite with Male and Douglass just behind. As someone else mentioned, the RPI will be a factor.

This year, it is a matter of avoiding H, and winner of X/T until state. Last year, Ballard, Station and Bullitt East were the giant killers. This year, Station doesn't get the benefit of being a playoff underdog unless they play H, and not sure if Ballard makes it past M.

M has never gotten past the 2nd round in 6A, so the players and coaches don't have that deep playoff experience. That matters when you are playing the top teams!  

I think BE sneaks over in the side that will play Central Hardin, or Hendo in the playoffs.

Looking way into the future, but I really think the way RPI ends up will show the path to Kroger Field.
