KSR ranks teams higher if they have a Kentucky player or potential player.

Like I said last year I think KSR is overly-reactive and I wonder if they have an occasional agenda that affects their rankings.

  • To me KSR's rankings are for marketing/entertainment purposes so I don't get too involved pro or con with them.

I don't know about everyone else, but Corbin at #4 doesn't even remotely pass the sniff test for me, whatsoever. Obviously Corbin now has the two Smith brothers, which is notable. And I realize t

There are located in Lexington, so there is the bias (maybe not a conscious one), if central Ky and the mountains. I’d say only Freddie Maggard only really has a pulse on the entire state. My NKY bias showing, I feel like they act like this region is non-existent, same maybe for Western Ky.

I don’t mind their game of the week being a game with a Kentucky player or recruit because that’s what they cover.  When you have a few people do the rankings who only watch Kentucky recruits, it definitely affects rankings.

Hmm, FD is ranked above Corbin, Highlands is at 18, CAL is above LCA, and plenty more. Makes sense lol, I think someone was drinking on the job lol.

I think you’re looking at previous week’s rankings.

Saw that after my initial post lol.

List looks ok but I think Ashland, OCath and Franklin County are a bit overrated according to these rankings. But if you haven’t lost games then it’s hard to put other teams over you I suppose.

Here is this week's KSR Top 25 several major moves up and down the rankings.
