David Trosper, formerly of Holmes, will be the new coach at Conner High School.

 

This was confirmed by another candidate for the position. Reportedly, however unconfirmed, Sheriff Helmig will be on David's staff.

 

David is a Boone Co. graduate.

How would another candidate know?

And why would Coach Trosper already hire the Sheriff?

D. Helmig loves Conner, it can't surprise anyone that he'd be on Trosper's staff if he didn't get the head job.

Quickslick, are you shocked Helmig didn't get the job? He seemed to be fairly confident he was going to be the man selected. You are as close the situation as anyone, are you surprised?

Yeagle will not apply for any job for quite some time. Trust me on that one. As far as Trosper, what has he done at Holmes. Has he ever been over .500 winning percentage? I dont know this guy at all. What does he bring to the Conner Program?

I don't think you can base the hiring of a coach on a winning percentage. There are many other factors. I know nothing about the guy so I have no bias one way or the other.
