Reed Sheppard is a 5 Star guard, he's the best player in Kentucky. Stop all this he's going to Kentucky that's why he's going to win it. Reed plays against the best players in the County every summer during AAU and dominates. 

While Sheppard will win it (as he should) I don’t think Teagan Moore is given the respect he deserves. I’m not sure if anyone else in the state has the ability to take over a game like he does. For example, he played Evangel Christian today in the semifinals of the All ‘A’ State tournament. He scored 35 of the teams 46 points. While doing this, he broke the school record for career points (this was no easy feat, former WKU player Carson Williams also played at Owen County), and is only 20 points away from 3,000 career points. 
Reed Sheppard fully deserves the award, and anyone that truly knows basketball should agree with this. It should not be fully stat based, and Sheppard is the most skilled player in the state. 
But, if I had to choose a 2nd option it might just be Moore.

Also, as good as Ipsaro is, I’m still undecided as to who’s the best player in the 9th. Holy Cross’ Jacob Meyer is also crazy good. Both are as good as any two I’ve ever seen in the 9th. 

Ipsaro is not only the best, but is the most complete player in the state period.  To quote above, He has shut down Reed the last few time they have played.  Nothing against Reed and I do not care where He is going to school or how many stars He has……great player as is Meyer for sure, but Ipsaro outshines both and has outplayed both.  Ipsaro rebounds, he passes, he draws the toughest defensive assignment on the opposing team and He is lock down.  He continually gives up His body and Ipsaro is simply the straw that stirs the drink.

I definitely agree. Reed had a great AAU career but also had top 4 and 5 star players on his team with arguably the best HS coach in Ohio. I think AAU should not be considered. If you look at the matchups Ipsaro has and ho

w well he responds against the top teams in the state and in nationally as Cov Cath plays the top teams nationly in Florida every year, Ipsaro hands down. 

Sheppard is deserving of it and is Kentucky's Favorite Son, but Evan Ipsaro should be Kentucky's Mr. Basketball. ??

Sheppard: The one player in the state clearly getting the most national publicity, and it's deserved.

Ipsaro: If it's possible, he's the most underrated elite player in the state.

Potter: The best player on one of the best teams in the state with excellent scoring and rebounding numbers and solid shooting percentages against a tough schedule. He can really bolster his case tonight with a huge game against Great Crossing.

Morton never took a covid year, he was a junior last year.

He does not play in the EYBL.

Yeah… that was the year he repeated, his junior one. 
 

He was a freshman in 2018/19 and he is in his fifth year at George Rogers Clark. He absolutely took the Covid year. 
 

I think he very well could’ve been Mr. Basketball last year if he hadn’t.
