Sounds eerily similar to all of Cam Giesler's transferring around, doesn't it?

I do believe the Harney's engaged an attorney once the KHSAA reversed their ruling. Word around the water cooler has been that there's a "hearing" coming up. No idea whether or not that's a court hearing or a KHSAA hearing. @The Oracle do you have any insight? You seemed to indicate that it was a court hearing.

I hadn't heard any specifics whether it was a KHSAA hearing or an actual court hearing. I had just heard "hearing" and assumed it was a court hearing. After asking around, I do believe it is a KHSAA appeal hearing coming up and not a court hearing.

What more would he be looking for at CCH vs Beechwood?  He would be an automatic starter at Beechwood in any sport and have 2A state championships in football most years.   At CCH he will have to fight for every position in every sport he plays.  Like @Colonels_Wear_Bluesaid he is currently QB3 on the unofficial depth chart.    He will have to fight his way to the top.  What more could he be looking for because it certainly won't be easier there?  Maybe friends?  Religion? Should he have to give up sports to peruse these?  My humble opinion says no.

If the rule says if you transfer, you sit, then yes. He has to give sports up for one season. Or stay put. Actions have consequences.  He could have gone to CovCath instead of Beechwood originally, but he didn’t.  That’s how this works.

And maybe that’s all it is. But for people to say “just let the kid play ball”, is ridiculous. He can play all the ball he wants right now, at Beechwood. Or could have I suppose. But he chose to leave. And whether people like it or not, that's going to render you ineligible. It’s a pretty simple concept. Why the KHSAA initially said he could, we may never know. But it seems pretty cut and dry to me. He transferred, he sits.

There was some talk earlier about Dylan Gaiser coming in as a really promising sophomore after a good year last season as the frosh QB. Assuming Pitzer remains as starting quarterback and stays injury-free, there's no way Coach Eviston doesn't try to use Gaiser's talents on offense, is there? Will we finally see a split-back look out of Eviston's offense? Is Gaiser going to play wideout? Will he switch in with Leen at running back like we saw in 2019 with Daniel Felix, Michael Boydston and Owen Nally?

I am pretty sure we will absolutely see Gaiser at multiple points throughout the year and my guess is at multiple positions in different formations.  He is too electric even as a Sophomore not to be used.  I venture to say there will be packages for Him under center as well.  We will see Eddie’s most varied offense yet….he simply has too many weapons not to.  
 

Again, to the 200 references before this, it all depends on our Line.  I like what you threw out a lot.  They are not the biggest, but gosh they are an aggressively physical group with more quickness then we have seen up front in a while.

I fully expect to see at least a partially retooled offensive when they take the field.  Teams keying on Leen and Rodriguez simply will not work this year with our options.

And Bessler, Kruer, and Reeves will be the unsung heroes/leaders of this team….

My 2 cents as a pre-season know-it-all.?

Personally speaking, I'd love to see what would happen if we start looking at changing things up a little more to mix in two running backs in more situations than just those where we need short yardage.

Yep, 100% agree with this.

I’m looking for Reeves to have a killer season. He’s been hitting the weight room hard and shown out at camps this summer.
