I have been following Bluegrass preps since my oldest was in high school. I comment here and there but to be honest I have never witnessed any adults talking about a kids faith.  I'm Chasity Harney.

  • @Cov_Cath_Hwy put it perfectly.  It is more than just a football team, basketball team, soccer etc.  It is a brotherhood there.  As new classes come in and senior classes depart, that brotherhood migh

Hearing Austin Woolf, son of Mike Woolf (CCH '88) is likely to be a starting O-lineman.

Anyone know if there is a stream of the scrimmage on Friday?

These are the 5 names I keep hearing and that make the most sense.

North Laurel streams on the NFHS Network. They have their regular season games shown on the Jaguars' football broadcast schedule but nothing is showing for the scrimmage. I also checked North Laurel's football team Facebook page, and no mention of the scrimmage or a livestream, so we may be out of luck there.

I would expect to see Woolf on the DL, not so much OL. If I had to guess, Oline would have to be Jones, Reeves, Sullivan, Mason, and expect to see a lot of Dietz. Have heard Freshman OL has 2 BIG boys that may be seen by the time mid season gets around.

Flood was playing TE in their 7on7 I attended.

Have we heard if Cash will be suiting up next week? Will he be cleared?

Holy Cow!   That has to be 1983 or 84?    Bringing back memories to my memories.

That'd be 1984, yep!

Sounds as if CCH dodged a bullet again. I’m hearing rumblings across the river that Emmett Queen is Backup to the Frosh QB.

Heard daddy is crazy, crazy mad and they moved the fam and other kids to bank on Emmett being a premier Elder QB with supposed SEC offers.  CCH will be just fine, not worth that nonsense.

Agreed.

If you have real SEC offers, you’re not a backup on Varsity, much less the backup on a freshman team.

Not at all attempting to say that any of the rest of your statement is inaccurate, but I can verify that at least this much is true.

For what it's worth, Emmett is son of Heath Queen, former Ohio State DT who I believe had his career ended by injuries.

There’s some clear hating and hurt feelings going on that the kid didn’t stay in NKY and end up at CCH. He has a D1 body and work ethic and his mechanics are very good at an early age. He will be a Divison 1 QB and to act like the area and the Colonels couldn’t use that is pure foolery. He’d be the starter as soon as Pitzer walks across that stage! Elder is a MAJOR MAJOR step up from any football we have here. The guy he is losing out to could be a top kid as well, we are talking about big boy football here. This isn’t the jab you think it is.

I'm sure those kids were excited. There is only a few ways to ensure the high school kids are going to want run through a brick wall for you when they get that age, and this is one of them. It’s such a simple thing to do yet many, many coaches don’t take the time to do things like this.
