Any chance this is an early kickoff on Friday because of the holiday or will it be the typical 7pm?

Maybe 6 but it needs to be 7 cause they are used to 7 which will be 8 their time. Keep them out of rhythm.

Fans of LCA  Do not attempt to park in the end zone. It is 120.00 for a year. It is full of tailgaters. No sense paying that for one game. Right across the street is free parking. So please do no

Thanks. I'm planning on coming to this game but I have to be back home early Saturday afternoon for a Thanksgiving function. Trying to decide where to get a room! ?

I encourage you to stay in Paducah or Murray. Our hotel rooms have taken a beating with all the displaced folks living in them.

I’m not so much worried about where to stay, but how far I want to drive back toward central Kentucky after the game. Obviously game time will play a big role in that. Thanks for the clarification, though. I hadn’t even thought about the displacement folks still in hotels.

LCA can definitely win this game.  However, I don't know if they have the defense to go into Mayfield and pull out a win in November.  I know that they dealt with a lot of injuries this season, and I won't pretend to know how much it affected their defense.  But they've given up 38, 49, 42, 60 and 27 to the really good teams that they've faced this year.  That's 43 points per game to Madison Central, CAL, Lexington Catholic, Pikeville and Owensboro Catholic.  I don't see them holding Mayfield's offense down.  Give me that Cardinals in a shootout, 42-35.

I'm an LCA parent/coach/homer, and therefore will always pick them.

Blessings to both teams.

Pulling for the Cardinals!!!!

Very tough to win at War Memorial Stadium.

I'm going with Mayfield because they got the better defense.

Defense wins big games. Give me Mayfield by 1 score.

THE TRADITION BEGINS WITH…WAR MEMORIAL STADIUM

The Mayfield Cardinals faced the Madisonville Maroons on September 16, 1949 to mark the first game to be played at the newly completed War Memorial Stadium.  The stadium was the product of a group of civic-minded citizens.  General Jonathan M. Wainwright,  who presided at the ground breaking ceremony, said that this stadium would be a monument of honor for "those Graves countians, both living and dead."

I know right.  It reminds me of George Carline's "Baseball vs. Football".  Classic.

Once again, to all visitors coming to this game, the stadium IS NOT at the school, as always, you can Google Mayfield Graves County Senior Citizens or Coach Mac Drive either, will get you there.

This warms my heart.

I’m excited about this game. There’s not a lot things better than good high football game in late November/early December. With that being said, Mayfield wins as long as they keep the penalties in check. The penalties have plagued this team all season. Mayfield played in a packed house against a team that at the time was considered one of the best in their class(Paducah). Not too many games have a playoff atmosphere in the regular season but that’s definitely a plus for games like this one. Safe travels for all LCA fans.

So please do not pay for parking. You can go in there and visit and someone will probably offer you food. They are usually cooking a hog for substate.
