The weather looks like it is going to cooperate.  Cloudy, low 50s, a little bit of wind, the rain should be over.

And this is probably the worst weather we've had on a Friday night this season. It has been an almost perfect weather season for high school football.

Weather should not be an issue. Rain at SK looks like it will be finished by 4 pm or so. Field and the balls may be a little wet but weather should not be much of a factor.

For this game, you are absolutely correct. Turf helps. It will be curious how games on grass are affected by the rain.

Not to get off track from this thread, but what big games tonight are on grass? I agree, a day long rain would definitely be a factor on a grass field, especially late in the year where grass may be worn in spots.

Manual vs. Bullitt East will be played on the finest, brown Bermuda grass this time of year in the state of Kentucky 🙂

Franklin County at Spencer County will be on grass.

The five below are probably the best games on grass with no obvious choice to win the game:

  • Franklin County at Spencer County
  • Manual at Bullitt East
  • Hazard at Williamsburg
  • Danville at Metcalfe County
  • Greenup County at Lawrence County
