I hope he has a huge game, I just don’t see him taking any focus at all from Charlie Noon until he actually makes a few game changing varsity plays. I have a hard time anointing a guy before he proves himself on the field. There’s been a lot of guys who were supposedly great, but no one ever saw it. But I do hope you’re right and there’s another guy with Charlie Noon potential in the lineup. 

Not trying to anoint anyone, just saying that he is a very Impactful player. He was the number 2 receiver behind Noon to start the year but broke his collarbone (maybe week 2 or 3?). With the way Class and Hinegardner are playing, plus obviously Noon, there is a lot of weapons at WR.

Scott Co. runs the Wing-T offense. It's way more elusive than what SK runs with Crone and he's a magician in that offense. The key on defense against the Wing-T is to be patient (easy to say I know) and trust that your coaches are putting you in the right spot to make a play. I'm going to check this one out. I believe it'll be an awesome game and I want to check this offense out in person.

I remember watching Scott County against St. X several years ago and it's impressive how they run that wing T to precision. I see this as high scoring game with Highlands winning a close one.

I absolutely think Class is. Especially at this point in the year and the body of work he has put in this year. I was just referencing what I saw on the field  at the beginning of the year. To me it it was Noon and Matteoli then other guys rotating. Either way a lot of talent out wide! 

The Coaches podcast just had Jim McKee on there show this last episode. He talks about why he run the Wing-T but doesn’t go into the details on how to run it.

Highlands will have difficulty stopping let alone containing the Cardinal offense. Yes it’s a Wing-T offense but what makes it EXTREMELY DIFFICULT is the players that are not getting the ball carry out their fakes to PERFECTION….FULL SPEED and by the time the ball is found you’ve been gashed. They’ll run the ball 20 plays in a row and you’ll think play 21 will be the same as they run those fakes, lulling you to sleep and then they’ll hit you over the top with a pass. It’s not traditional and no one in NKY runs anything remotely close to it which makes it tough to game plan let alone simulate in preparation. 
For those who have not seen this run in person you will see how difficult it is to find the ball. Defensively the front 3 are absolute beasts and the secondary plays not to get beat deep so it’s kind of a bend but not break defense, but again, the front 3 cause havoc.

I expect Highlands to be competitive but ultimately I see Scott Co. pulling away. Just my opinion after seeing both teams play in person.

Are any of Scott Co running backs power FB type dudes? To beat a typical speed centric highlands defense you have to have that guy. Also just looking at the stats, their pass game doesn’t scare me too bad. Should be a close game I think. 

I think this will be a very high scoring game. If Highlands Blitzes a lot like they like to do, they will play right into Scott County’s hand.   Scott County is going to score and put up points. With that said I do think Highlands can score on Scott County too. If Highlands can avoid turning the ball over, they should have a chance at the end. 
 

Early Prediction for me though is Scott County wins 42 to 31.
